I can’t recommend Rik at Maria Bonita enough! He gave me the best haircut I’ve had in years—my hair feels so lightweight and fresh. Rik is incredibly precise and meticulous, making sure every detail is perfect. You can really tell he cares about his craft. And the Brazilian blow dry? Absolute perfection. My hair has never looked or felt better. Rik is worth every penny—I’m so glad I found him!

I found my new favorite salon - Had an amazing experience with Oliver Francisco and his assistant. They are super friendly, professional, talented. They understood exactly what I wanted and I left happier than I expected I would be!

I’ve been going for the past two years, and Rik has taken amazing care of my hair from highlights to cuts. When I decided to put my tape in extensions back in, he nailed it. He’s an expert in the technique and matched the color of my hair perfectly something I hadn’t found anywhere else in NYC. He’s precise, skilled, and truly knows what he’s doing. Fabi is always there assisting and she’s incredible too.

I went to Maria Bonita today to get my hair ready for summer, and once again, Ricardo Sarmiento did an incredible job! I have very fine hair, and I usually get balayage and Brazilian keratin. Since I started seeing Ricardo, my hair has never been healthier. It’s shiny, smooth, and the color looks so natural. I get compliments all the time on how well it suits me. While I was there, another Brazilian woman came in because her hair had been damaged by a hairdresser in Jersey City. Ricardo took care of her, too, and she left with a big smile, just like I always do. It was so nice to see someone else experience the same transformation and happiness. Ricardo really knows hair. He’s talented, professional, and genuinely cares about making you look and feel your best. If you're looking for someone you can trust with your hair, Ricardo is the one!

I came in twice (on two separate occasions) for a haircut and highlights. And had to come in another 2 times in order to get the services fixed because they were done poorly. Haircut, for the price, was mediocre. I have very heavy hair and he did not take enough weight off my hair. I have had to make an appointment at another salon to fix this. And they broke my hair when they did highlights and left it yellow. Also, the whole point was to retouch my roots and failed to do so. Also, when you come in within the 7 day policy to get something fixed it is suppose to be complimentary, however the hairstylist Junior finds a way to still charge you again. I paid 500$ and my roots weren't even retouched. I contacted the manager and she said a refund has been made to my account. It has been over a week and I never received a refund. Avoid this institution at all costs! They just want to steal your money.

I did highlights last month back at home in Boston and ended up getting four different colors in my hair. It was a nightmare until I found this place. I had Oliver and he looked at me and knew what to do. He kept the integrity of my natural hair color and brought it back to life. Everyone there is so kind and friendly it feels more like a home you’re walking into. I’m very blessed to have stumbled upon this gem and now I’m only going here. Best hair treatment and hospitality ever received at a salon

If you need a facial, a massage, a haircut or style....or all of the above. THIS IS YOUR PLACE! I go for all three (sometimes in the same visit). This place is awesome. Highly recommend!
