Luxxor Hair Salon NYC

Love Luxxor! A large group of us essentially took over the salon a couple weekends ago to get our hair and makeup done for a large "fantasy black-tie" NYC wedding. The salon was extremely accommodating and everyone was so nice! I didn’t get my makeup done, but those who did looked gorgeous! Ricky did my hair and he was wonderful and fun to chat with while sipping a complimentary mimosa :). He wasn’t alerted that I had clip-in extensions I wanted to use for my hairstyle, which take more time than he had allotted, but he made time for me and I teared up when he showed me the result (see photo)! I don’t live in NYC, but I will definitely go back if I ever need hair or makeup done there in the future. Thank you so much to the salon and especially my new bestie, Ricky!

Luxxor is everything you could want in a hair salon. I had a full highlight and cut with Alan who worked seamlessly with Ricky and created pure magic. The full highlights they did are incredibly natural. I've struggled at other salons to get this exact look—dimensional, blended, and sun-kissed—but they nailed it. It looks like my hair just naturally catches the light perfectly, not like it was dyed. The cut frames my face beautifully and has such movement. The ambiance of the location is beautiful; the decor is chic and luxurious without feeling intimidating. The space itself is also warm and inviting. In total, Alan and Ricky create a truly welcoming and relaxing environment. It felt like a true treat and less like a typical appointment. If you are looking for top-tier quality, unmatched skill, and a truly lovely salon experience, you must book with them.

My first time visiting New York, I wasn’t familiar with the area and wasn’t sure where the salon was located. Marge was incredibly helpful — she stayed on the phone with me the entire time, guiding me to the entrance, and greeted us so warmly when we arrived. And Tina — where do I even start? She was absolutely fabulous! My wash and blow dry turned out gorgeous, my hair was beautiful on my birthday. She even shared some great local recommendations to enjoy during my trip. If you’re ever in New York and looking for a great salon experience, I highly recommend seeing Marge and Tina. They made my visit exceptional from start to finish!

Absolutely incredible experience here. I found extra time on a busy day to get a blowout here and it was such a wonderful experience. When I called ahead, they were so kind and so incredibly helpful. I wasn’t sure if I was able to make it and they still were able to fit me in right before I had to rush to a black tie wedding and I am so immensely grateful!! not only were they so incredibly kind but so amazingly talented. It was the best blowout I’ve ever had!! the massage chair chairs for the shampoo are an unreal touch too. Such a wonderful place! I was visiting from out of town and if I was a local, I would definitely be using this as my go to salon. Thank you both!! ❤️❤️

Absolutely loved my experience at this new hair salon! From the moment I booked my appointment, everything was seamless and easy. The staff made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in, and the salon itself is super comfortable—clearly designed with the customer in mind. The team really understands what their clients need, and it shows in every detail. My hair service (gray hair coverage and a blow out) was absolutely excellent—one of the best I’ve ever had. I left feeling refreshed and so happy with the results. I would recommend this salon to anyone looking for top-notch service and a relaxing atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

Alan is a fantastic colorist. Ricky is amazing with the scissors. Luxxor is a hidden gem in FiDi. I went to get gray highlights and they came out spectacular. They really know their craft and they’re so passionate about it you can’t help but trust them with all their amazing suggestions. I’m so happy I found this place around the corner from my home…. But my favorite thing is probably the little menu with beverages haha. I love my red wine while getting my hair done. 100% recommend it.
