Star review incoming 🤩 Loved my experience getting my hair colored at kuniya! The stylist Wataru was very detailed and careful not to damage my hair too much, but still managed to get it just like the pictures I showed him thanks king. I got three compliments on it the same day yay 😁 the interior is so cozy and fun with awesome decor!!! A bit expensive for my class but I’m no economist. Wat ar u doing not booking your next hair appointment with Wataru??

Nao did a great job with my first balayage and layered haircut. She helped me get a no bleach balayage and was super friendly and helpful in the days leading up to my appointment. Highly recommend! And the ambience in the salon is super cozy.

I went for a blowout and shampoo and had a great time. My senior stylist was so nice and polite. We talked some about our day, she was gentle with me which is very appreciated since I'm tender headed. I gave her some creative freedom and I loved how it turned out. Will be returning!

Masa has been doing my hair for years. My hair was significantly damaged by a previous hair salon, and Kuniya saved my hair! Masa is always extra careful with my damaged hair, bleaching or styling, and now I have a beautiful blond long hair thanks to him. I highly recommend Kuniya. It’s a true gem in mid town.

Masa is the greatest. He customized the style to fit the clients maintenance style. He asked me if I blow dry my hair, if I use a comb, if I do any styling myself at all. All the insights he gained from his questions enabled him to tailor his cut so you can easily recreate the look with your current routine at home. His cut seemed effortless with style. I’m very happy with my experience.

Masa is the best hairstylist! You won't be leaving the salon with a mere haircut, but a whole new Look because Masa cuts hair to flatter the entire face. Masa is incredibly thoughtful--I appreciate that he takes into consideration his client's lifestyle and how much time they want to spend on daily upkeep and styling. If you like being inundated with compliments from strangers, get your next haircut at Kuniya Hair. (I've been seeing Masa for over 2 years now) Masa's talents don't end with hair. He's also a great interior designer and photographer (if you need a new profile picture, just ask Masa to take your photo). The salon is absolutely gorgeous, filled with vintage treasures and cozy south-west inspired textiles. Overall a delightful experience.

I got my hair done at Kuniya Hair every single Friday (sometimes even twice a week) for six years, and the biggest reason I kept going back was Nao-san. She is, hands down, one of the best stylists I’ve ever had - gentle, intuitive, insanely skilled, and always consistent. No matter what kind of week I had, sitting in her chair felt like a reset. She has magic hands and an eye for detail that never misses. I also had the chance to get my hair done by Wata-san a few times, and he was fantastic too. Kuniya Hair felt like a second home. Masa-san, the owner, always made me feel welcome, and the whole team is so warm and talented. There’s a calm, comforting energy in this salon that’s hard to find elsewhere. I genuinely miss being a regular there. If you’re looking for a stylist who will always get it right—ask for Nao.
