What a talented and remarkable human being! Goto gave me a terrific first cut after walking me carefully through my options. He is patient, kind, and efficient. His calm presence and artistry made me wish that I had an excuse to get my hair cut more often. Go to Goto!

Goto is a true master of his craft. He is never in a rush. Before even picking up the scissors, he takes his time to get to know you, your hair, and your style preferences. Just got my hair cut by him for the second time and I couldn't be happier with the result and the experience! Highly recommend.

*UPDATE*: Over 2 years later, I still stand by every word of what I wrote here regarding Goto’s unparalleled skill, natural talent, and keen intuitive eye for perfecting even the most subtle details of every new hairstyle I’ve come to him for. He’s the only hairstylist I’ve ever been to who only needs to look at a photo once, and makes it look like the easiest thing in the world. Again, I’ll also mention his impressively wide breadth of knowledge on the many different types of hairstyles seen with bands and musical subcultures throughout the many decades past. I wish I could leave an additional 5 star review as a separate update - he really is that good! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is the best hairstylist I've ever been to. True artist and master of his craft. Don't waste your time going anywhere else, Goto knows what he's doing. The first time I ever visited him, I didn't know what I wanted to do with my hair, and he was very honest and told me my hair looked fine the way it was, instead of giving me a haircut I didn't need like other salons would do just to take my money. This time when I saw him again and knew what I wanted, he took his time and paid attention to small details to make sure I got exactly what I wanted, and he did it perfectly. I'll never go to anyone else - I've been to the #1 rated salon on yelp in NYC, and Goto is much better. Very underrated and deserves all the business he can get. He is also very friendly, knowledgeable, and nice to talk to.

Best hair cutting experience I’ve had at least that I can remember. Goto is obviously an incredible talent at his craft and you can feel this instantly, but he’s also someone that takes the time to know you and remember you. Will be back again for sure.

Just had my first haircut from Goto. It took us awhile to come up with a plan. He asked me many questions about my lifestyle, career, etc to zone in on how to proceed. He never was impatient as we discussed the options. He made me feel good about my hair in spite of the lack of it and did a great job with the cut. First time, best haircut I’ve received in a while. Goto’s expertise and knowledge of his craft is obvious as soon as he starts cutting or talking you through his plan. He is receptive, professional, and overall a really nice guy .
