I cannot recommend Lyudmila at Dlala Salon enough! She is absolutely amazing with short hair and pixie cuts. She took the time to really understand what I wanted, and the result completely exceeded my expectations. It’s honestly the best haircut of my life. The cut is sharp, flattering, and so easy to style day-to-day — and it somehow looks even better as it grows out. Lyudmila’s skill, attention to detail, and genuine passion for her work really show in every snip. If you’re looking for a stylist who truly gets short hair and delivers a cut that makes you feel fresh and confident, Lyudmila is the one.

The owner told me to call the Columbia Rd. location and ask for Jenny almost five years ago when I was looking for a Sunday appointment…it was a match made in heaven! Jenny es la mejor!! She urged me to go natural and my hair has grown to mid-back! She is also the stylist for my teenage twin daughters and younger daughter. From blow drying, to traditional weaves, to u-part wig installs, Jenny does it all…and very very well! My hair is consistently fly!!

I’ve been to Dlala salon several times over the years now and every time has been a great experience. Yutaka has been my stylist each time but everyone there seems very professional and friendly. The salon itself is beautiful and very clean, and my haircuts are always exactly what I’m looking for. Yutaka is friendly, tells me what will (and won’t!) look good, and always delivers! Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Thank you Dlala and Yutaka!

Lyudmila is the best!! She really understands my curly-to-wavy hair and always gives me the perfect bob cut. She’s also recommended products that make my hair so much easier to manage. I’ve followed her from salon to salon because her skill and care are truly unmatched!

Dlala used to be my salon 10+ years ago before I moved out of NYC for a bit. Having recently moved back I trusted them 100% once again. Astara is incredible. She listened so insanely carefully to what I wanted that I had zero doubt I’d walk out with the hair I was dreaming of. She didn’t rush at all, even though it took longer than we expected, and checked in with me every step of the way. I felt completely seen, safe, and understood. Couldn’t recommend her more!

I moved from East Village to Brooklyn but I still come back to Dlala for balayage! The staff here are all so talented and nice, and the effect is great! I would highly recommend this place especially you’re East Asian and want to have someone who understands your hair do the treatment!
