Clove is such a warm and welcoming salon! Giovanna is extremely talented and is always able to interpret how I want my cut and highlights to look. Highly recommend!

I absolutely adore Clove Hair Salon and have had the pleasure of working with both Alex and Giovanna. Alex is currently my stylist, and he’s truly a master when it comes to color. I have dark brown hair and a lot of grey at the front, and I’m always striving for a beautiful blonde look. Not only does Alex expertly lighten my hair, but he also ensures my greys are perfectly covered with a dark permanent color. What I appreciate most is how he listens to my preferences—he cuts just enough to keep my hair healthy without taking away too much length, which can be hard to find in a stylist. I always leave feeling confident, not just because of the incredible results, but also from the fantastic conversations with Alex and the entire team at Clove. The salon itself is a lovely, welcoming space, filled with plants and good energy. Giovanna has truly created an atmosphere where you feel at home from the moment you walk in. I highly recommend this salon!

I have been going here for 5+ years and have never let anyone else highlight or cut my hair outside of Giovanna, the owner. Such a great salon with exceptional customer service and everyone who works there is a delight to engage with. Couldn't recommend this place enough! I always get compliments on my color and it's all thanks to this place! Will continue to return!

After neglecting my hair for years, I started going to clove in the fall. Alex is wonderful! I just got my second haircut with him yesterday, and some color to even out a bad box dye job I did in a fit of winter depression in 2023 and my hair looks incredible! I couldn’t recommend clove more! The whole staff is so friendly and welcoming as well.

I've been seeing Michelle for several years now and recently moved with her to Clove Hair Salon. The location is great and the space is wonderful - So warm, comfortable and inviting. I would have honestly followed Michelle anywhere! She has helped me find my "best blonde" while maintaining the integrity and health of my hair. She is kind and fantastic at what she does. A true color expert!

Everything about the experience at Clove is 5 stars. The space is beautiful and welcoming and Alex makes magic happen! My hair always comes out looking incredible and healthy after his cut and color. I also get the Cezanne smoothing treatment once a year which is life changing. A few other things I appreciate about the salon that have been lacking elsewhere: - They are super organized! It’s easy to get in touch via email and make/change appointments. - Alex is always on time… But never feels rushed. - Alex listens and helps you look your best every time. <3

I've been to Clove twice so far (my usual haircut cadence being once or twice a year) - the first being my first cut since moving to NYC, which turned out to be my favorite haircut of all time! I came in with an idea ("half-mullet, half-long") and Alex delivered above and beyond my imagination. I was originally looking for a salon that handles curly hair well (I have very dense, fine-ish hair that is super springy in some parts, smooth in others) and Alex did a wonderful job reading my hair's direction and giving me styling ideas for the curly long side. The second time I went for the exact same cut because I liked it so much, and Alex knew how to read his own cutting well. I also really like the Aveda product smells (very gentle but pleasant) and sustainability efforts! Everyone at the salon is also very nice and the overall vibe is welcoming & safe - would definitely recommend and go again.
