The Blow Barr

Everyone was accommodating — I was visiting and they kindly found me a chair after I mistakenly showed up there instead of at Maxwell. That said, my stylist seemed inexperienced and didn’t listen to what I asked for. I also couldn’t hear a word she said. I asked for a straight blowout, but she started curling my hair with the brush as she dried it. I had to step in and remind her I wanted it straight. From there, she rushed through the blowout, left my roots damp, and went straight for the flat iron — barely touching the roots. As a curly-haired girl, I knew it wasn’t done right; my scalp felt no heat at any point, which is a big red flag. I also had to remind her to get the little sideburn curls XD. Usually, my blowouts include a strong root dry followed by ironing and a few drops of oil for shine, but when I asked, she said she didn’t know if she could add any and only offered hairspray. I still tipped because the staff was kind, but I left disappointed with the result. No coffee, no water offered. Fully stacked mini bar with Nespresso machine. :C

Went to get my hair cut and styled. Told the hairstylist that I had a birthday dinner in a few hours. Anyways she cut it very nonchalant. She didn’t make sections. When I was there it looked good, not frizzy and okay cut. ( it was just cutting my endings and my bangs) When I get home my hair is a big puffy mess, there’s visible bumps from the round brush and my bangs are not even ! Worse experience ever. I had been going to someone else for years, as I like to cut my hair every 3 - 6 months. I wanted to see about this place for a possible blow out . Spent almost 200$ here, yea never again.

Absolutely love The Blow Bar! Every stylist here delivers fantastic blowouts that leave my hair feeling fresh, bouncy, and full of life. Rebecca is my go-to, she knows exactly how to style my hair and always makes me feel amazing. But when she’s booked and I need a last-minute glam fix, Rachel steps up like she did today (hence pic). You really can’t go wrong with anyone here, they’re all talented and consistent. Highly recommend!

Was super excited to get highlights again, so i decided to go where I got my most recent hair cut. I initially wanted to do them with the girl that cut my hair, but she was unavailable for the day & i was impatient. I believe Amanda was the one to attend me & she was very nice & understood what i wanted as well as answering all my questions & concerns. I let her know i had several products in my hair & that it had been 3 days since my last wash, but she said it would not affect the process. I even showed her the exact products i would use for my previous hair dye, & again i was reassured it would not affect anything. As she is doing my highlights,( about 30 mins in) the bleach starts reacting with something & she was forced to take out the foils. i also wanted my base retouched, so after that i had no choice but to get that done another time. Things happen and i was too bothered, but again made sure to let her i had about 3 different products in my hair. She finished doing my hair, but since i style my own hair, i asked that she just leave it be. i looked at it from the back and everything looked good at first so i paid and left. I went to another hair salon for a consult to retouch my base and that’s when she let me know the mistakes she had made. The reaction had made the bleach runny and it seeped into the rest of my hair! The top of my head is patchy and i know for a fact that Amanda knew because there’s literally no way you cant see it, even when wet… i left a 10$ tip apart from the 350$ i paid, just to leave with the top of my head looking crazy. I was very disappointed with the fact that she must’ve seen, but failed to fix it. So i ended up paying an additional 50$ to another lady to fix her mistake. Lesson learned🥲

Rebecca has always done my balayage everytime I’ve gone and she always exceeds my expectations and brings my hair back to life! 😍 Rebecca is amazing as well as the other staff who are so welcoming and kind! I truly enjoy getting my hair done here!

Loved coming to the blowbarr. They have a wonderful staff. I love that their goal is to maintain healthy hair. I recommend if you are interested in getting your hair done. Loved the results of my hair !

When I first came to Blow Bar I was so nervous to get my hair done. it was my first time ever dyeing my hair, and I was going blond. karla did the best job on me! she walked me through the whole experience and answered every question I had.
