Mallory at Smoak Salon understood the assignment. My curls were looking tired, and she brought them all the way back. Root touch-up? Perfect. Gloss? Shiny. Long layers? Chef’s kiss. And she diffused my curls so good I was flipping my hair all the way to the car. If you’re a curly girl, go see her — she gets it.

First time going and LOVED IT! I’m from SC but love having a place to get my hair done on vacation- such a good find. My sisters and sister-in-law are already looking to get their hair done there as well!

Lauryn did an amazing job. She took her time and I love my silk press and I was very skeptical about cutting my hair but the end result was amazing.

Great service Great advice, took time to listen to what I wanted to do and what I wanted to achieve long term. Gave what he would do and options. Also some other recommendations for my hair type. Did an awesome color job, got my hair looks amazing, great hair cut, and scheduled for next appointment to put a treatment to help my hair with frizz and taming my curl. Then extensions….anyone wanting a great salon should go here!! Ben is BOM!!!

I came to Lauryn in October 2024. Lauryn is very professional and very knowledgeable when it comes to the needs of natural hair! She has nursed my hair back to a point where I can confidently rock my natural curls! I love Lauryn because she offers an array of styles and color services! Oftentimes, beauticians give you what you want. I can’t only say that about Lauryn! She takes great care of my hair and recommends different treatments and styles to ensure proper hair health. And did I mention that she is an MUA, too??!? Talk about a winning combo!! Smoak Salon is conveniently located in Fondren’s Duling Hall! I love that I’m able to enjoy a glass of wine from Saltine’s while getting my hair done! If you are a natural girly, I highly recommend booking Lauryn for ALL of your natural hair needs!!

The staff at Smoak Salon are fantastic. I had the most wonderful experience having a brow/lip wax with Lauryn and hair styling with Ben! Lauryn was amazing and seamless transformed my brows into a beautiful shape. Ben did a beautiful job styling my hair for my cousin's wedding. Everything was above expectations and I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant and perfect experience here!
