I absolutely love coming here to get my hair done by Tessa. She is incredibly talented, patient, and detail-oriented. I have very long hair, which can be challenging when it comes to highlights, but she handles it effortlessly every single time. The results are always flawless, perfectly blended, bright, and exactly what I ask for. Tessa truly listens, explains the process, and makes sure you’re comfortable the entire appointment. I always leave feeling confident and obsessed with my hair. I’ll be adding before and after photos because the transformation speaks for itself. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for beautiful and professional results!

Sam is an amazing hair stylist who is incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to teach me about hair care products and future treatment options. She takes the time to listen to my opinions and shows genuine excitement about making each experience great. Sam goes out of her way to make me feel confident and truly heard when I share my concerns and desired outcomes for every appointment. I really appreciate her thoughtful recommendations and clear explanations, which help me feel comfortable and informed. I will absolutely continue going to Sam for all of my future appointments.

Tessa Holm is the best! She tailors my hair color and formula to my hair goals (and is always successful), is able to translate my descriptions for hair cuts and styles into exactly what I pictured, isn’t afraid to brainstorm with me, and is SUPER receptive to feedback. She is so bubbly and amazing to talk to. Truly feels like getting my hair done by a friend ♥️

When I first moved to Grand Rapids, it was so hard to find a good stylist. A friend referred me to Katie and after my first color with her I knew I found the right spot! She knows how to color my hair and cut the perfect layers!! She is efficient, so sweet and a great teacher! Prior to Katie I only let my stylist from my hometown cut my layers, but Katie crushed it!! My husband even asked if I have extensions in haha— it added so much volume 😊

I’m really disappointed with my experience. I spent 25 for a consultation with Paige initially and did one streak of highlight to kind of test the waters with how she would do. The first time it turned out great. But this time she booked another client and Paige’s assistant handled most of my service and was extremely rough with my hair while washing it. even after I repeatedly asked her to be gentle and seemed annoyed that I was asking to the point where when we got to the chair she just handed me the brush and said " do you want to brush it" I spent 25 on the consolation to let Paige know how thin my hair is and that you need to be gentle with it so why should I have to explain to her assistant the same? Beyond frustrated. I walked out in tears. Paige barely checked in, didn’t review my foils before they were rinsed, and my hair turned out yellow and orange instead of the cool blonde I asked for. I also didn’t get to choose the tone or discuss the results before being told to pay by her assistant. I specifically asked for thicker highlights and was given baby lights instead. Overall, I feel like I paid for an assistant, not the stylist, and my hair was left uneven. To top it off it was 265 dollars. I’m very unhappy with the result and feel my requests were ignored. I also feel like they want me to pay again to fix it which I won’t be doing. Charging someone that much for partial highlights and letting your newbie assistant do it is crazy. Could have gotten the same results with a bottle of sun in 🤮

I LOVE this salon!! I’ll never go anywhere else. My stylist Jessie is a miracle worker! Amazing at her job, fun to talk to, so easy to work with. She did extensions on my thin, short hair yesterday and gave me my confidence back. There’s a coffee bar, fantastic music, overall a good experience. Salon days here are my favorite!

I went to Cheeky Strut for the first time while visiting Michigan and absolutely loved it. I will definitely be coming back whenever I am in town again. From the moment I called to book my appointment, the front desk was so helpful and took the time to write down all of my detailed notes for my blowout. My stylist, Emma Lamers, was amazing and very professional. She was so nice to talk to, listened to all of my concerns, and gave me the best blowout that lasted the entire weekend, even in the rain. Highly recommend Cheeky Strut!
