Nicole's Downtown Salon & Spa

So happy with my hair thanks to Sara at Nicole's! I wanted something a little different and brought in photos for reference. She took her time with the consult and color matching and I love the results even more than the inspo! I also got a botanical treatment and Aveda shampoo/conditioner and not only does my hair smell incredible, it feels the healthiest it's been in years!! **updated in 2026: I finally decided to try lash extensions and OMG I LOVE THEM!!! Sara did an amazing job with very little guidance of what I wanted (lol) A few pinterest photos and she nailed it!

Sara gives such good facials. Plus she wax’s my eyebrows exactly how I like them. She pays attention to details and it makes all the difference. I definitely recommend Nicole’s for a top notch facial and eyebrow wax.

The complete package! This team has it together. Patti always does an amazing job - such attention to detail! When I sit down, I feel as though I'm her most important client. The leadership at Nicole's has a clear vision for making this the finest salon in the Chippewa Valley and they are making that vision a reality. Treat yourself to Nicole's. You'll be glad you did.

Katie did an amazing job on my haircut. I was kind of not super specific or great at explaining what I wanted, but she nailed it! The salon is also just really nice throughout, clean and smells like Aveda shampoo.

Ok, this review is nothing against the solon. I've been here on three other separate occasions and I have always been happy with the results. However, on my most recent visit on 12/8/18, it didn't quite go as well as the previous appointments. I told the stylist that I wanted to further enhance the current ombre that I had. I wanted it lighter on the bottom and darker on the top. she showed me the swatches, we picked out the colors, and she asked me where I wanted the blonde to start. I told her I wanted to start blending in the blondes around the middle of my head. So I took off my glasses and let her do her thing. After the hair processed she washed the dye out, toned my hair, and started styling my hair with the chair turned away from the mirror (had my glasses off for this process as well). After she styled it I put on my glasses and look in horror at the results (curly hair picture). Not only was the blonde way too high, but it was also uneven with minimal to no blending. After asking the stylist to fix it she said that she was booked for the rest of the day and didn't seem to care much about how bad of a job she did. So I went to the front desk to see if there was anything they could do for me. Thankfully another stylist appointment had canceled on her and she could try and see what she could do. She ended up being able to fix mostly fix it and it looks way more blended and even (straight hair picture included). It still wasn't what I really wanted but there was only so much she could do to try and fix it. The salon didn't make me pay for the fix however, I still had to pay for the original appointment (which was not cheap). I will continue to go to this salon but I will not be going to that stylist again because I don't think the work she did was up to the standard of this great salon.

Emily is great! My 7 year old absolutely loves going to Nicole's and getting pampered. Emily is so kind to her and takes the time to braid her beautifully.

I always love getting my hair done, by Katie especially the wash, its so relaxing and hard to not fall asleep. Anna is always very helpful also.
