Tune Up "The Manly Salon"

can't say enough good things about Tune Up Manly Salon in 242. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming. It’s clear they have a great team of people working there who actually enjoy what they do, which makes every visit a great experience. A huge shoutout to Julia, who does my hair. She is absolutely great—professional, attentive, and consistently delivers a perfect cut. I honestly couldn’t recommend her enough if you’re looking for someone who knows their craft. If you want a top-tier experience with a team that treats you right, this is the place to go!

I had been a regular client at Tune up salon for a long time and really enjoyed my stylist who unfortunately left. When I came back recently, I was open to trying a new stylist and hoped to continue as a member. During my visit, I mentioned to the manager that I was considering canceling my membership because I wasn't fully sure yet about staying after the change. In response, she removed the name tag from my bottle (the one that signified my membership) and tossed it on the ground. It was a small gesture, and honestly a bit comical in the moment, but it clearly showed me that there wasn't much interest in retaining me as a client. The shop itself has potential, and I've had good experiences in the past, but this interaction left me feeling undervalued. I decided not to continue and have since found a new place. If customer retention and appreciation matter to you, this might be worth keeping in mind.

Had a wonderful experience getting my hair cut here! Was a bit nervous as it has gotten a bit long, but Kobe’s attention to detail left me feeling better than when I arrived! She did a fantastic job. The staff here is excellent and I would recommended to anyone in need of a haircut (:

Had a great haircut very professional and asked and recommended what would work for me. Washed my hair out and hot face towel were the icing on the cake. Oh and you get two beers with your cut if that isn't a bonus not sure what is! Best deal around and better than other places who charge way more.

Alright yall, hold your beers and get ready for a great time when you come here. Aside from the alcohol (because who doesn’t like adult beverages during a haircut), you get treated to a trio of certified baddies with scissors. Julia, Stacie, and Kobe are fantastic at what they do… just sit down, shut up, enjoy your drinks, and let the ladies work their magic. I get compliments every single time I leave there so they are doing something right. Keep up the good work ladies!

Julia is the best, no doubt about it. Professional, personable, and always takes her time to help manage anything that comes her way (or her coworker’s way). This location/store runs smoothly, I never have any issue getting in/out, and everyone is always in a great mood while I am there - this should be the standard. Well done.

Will never use them. I walked in with my son as a Walk-in. There was only 1 person in the chair. She asked if I had an appointment and I said no to which she said we can’t get you in today. It was 3pm and they close at 6pm. I went to the car then called and asked if I could get an appointment today and she said yes how is 4:30? Unbelievable the laziness and rude attitude. I guess you don’t want my money. That’s fine.
