I’m new to the area. I called and Arianna answered and booked me with herself. I didn’t know she was newly licensed and extremely slow with braids. She is actually very very sweet and thorough which I love. The disappointment came with the style, her starting on me an hr late when I was ontime, and the realizations that 330 was wayyy too much for why I received. The young lady even said she knows she takes a long long time doing braids and I told her I wish she told me that. I wish she also started on me on Tim which I stated as well. My appt was for 12:30 and I left at 9:30 My style is lop sided meaning more boho on the left than the right. It had stray away hairs all over. Took 9 hrs to do and I had to watch the other stylists do several heads and braids while I’m still there. The manager offered no discount or anything and justified the style even after seeing the young lady had no skills doing edges. You can see the size of the braids and wonder why th did it take sooo long. This baby is probably starting out. NEVER have I ever had a wash and condition and a stylist not be able to scratch my scalp at all. Like I resisted it and asked her to use a comb and she refused. Very timid with the hair. Ugh so my scalp still itches plus the moose like she barely put any on so I need to grab some tomorrow to put on my hair! I did like the colors and the sweetness of the stylist. My hair barely has boho. It’s more braids than the bundle I paid for. Look at that giant edge swoop!!! She spent 15 mins on edge till k said just leave them be. I will be looking for other stylists in the area bc no ma’am. I thought this place was affordable and was looking fwd to booking with another stylist. Absolutely not after speaking with the owner! The owner questioned me as if I was under an interrogation. Asking me if I would be able to do my own edges at home and did I request that much out. Duh I can do my own edges better than this and that’s besides the point. She refused to be reasonable Had me there all night for this. Might I add, I only had a bob!! Lastly, this style looks nothing like the in app pics I sent her. The ends, the quality of hair they used-way overpriced- all of it is just wrong! (Inspiring pics added) $330 for this mess. Barely boho, scraggly quality of hair. I’ll never come back nor send any of my friends their way! Arianna if you’re reading this know that you have a sweet spirit. I am just strongly dissatisfied with what I expected and that’s okay. Keep working on your craft. You know this looks nothing like the inspirational pics. My issue was mostly with yes the experience but mostly the manager not accommodating anything at all and tried to make me feel as if I were at fault for requesting my edges to be laid and a full set of hair like the pics . What an experience!

I waited a couple days to write this review as I wanted to speak from facts and not solely off feelings & emotions. I want to start off by saying that the salon itself is absolutely beautiful and the vibes were great. However, I was very disappointed with the final results of my hair. I came in for a loc retwist and I must say it was easily one of the worst $90 that I’ve spent in my life. My hair was horrible! The stylist didn’t even dry my hair. She let me leave the salon with soaking wet locs. Stated "they will air dry". Not only that the product that she used left my hair super sticky. It’s been less than a week and it looks like I never had my hair retwisted. I am sure this salon provides other wonderful services, but if you are thinking of getting a retwist, please consider going elsewhere.

I was a walk in today and made an appointment to get my hair done later. I did a wash, blow dry and two strand twist. Listen to me...GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE!!!!! Nene did an awesome job with my hair and trust me, washing it is not an easy task! I love how light my hair feels now. I look forward to making this my go-to salon!

Completely blown away by my service and results today! Zenora is truly gifted, my hair came out surpassing my expectations. The salon is lovely, comfortable and clean. I was met with smiles and positive attitudes. I am still grinning like a kid on Christmas morning! I will return and recommend She Turns Heads to anyone because of the care and quality care and service I received.

I had a great time at this salon. Everyone who handled my hair was very gentle, the atmosphere is clean and relaxing, and I had some good conversation with my hairdresser. I would highly recommend. There is no other black hair salon in a twenty mile radius anyways.

I have discovered this amazing spot where they provide top-notch services at incredibly affordable prices. The salon is immaculately clean. The stylist is remarkably knowledgeable and exceptionally friendly. I was a walkin for a braid base for crochet. Ashley took me and completed everything within an hour.AMAZING 💯 They also give senior citizen discount. 👏🏽👏🏽

I have natural hair and it has been ages since my last visit to the salon. I am also somewhat tender-headed. But Ashley took such great care of me. She made sure I was comfortable the entire time and gave my hair the care it desperately needed—a nourishing scalp treatment, a thorough wash, a deep conditioning, and a much-needed trim. Ashley is very sweet and kind. She did an amazing job on my hair, and her calm, professional demeanor made the experience even better. Overall, I received great service, and I truly appreciate her work
