I walked in with my granddaughter wanting to get cut and color and it was 45mins till closing....and Gayla so graciously cut and colored my granddaughters hair. I booked an appointment for the following week and Gayla did an amazing transformation on my hair with color and extensions...I highly recommend experiencing Gaylas expertise she is truly an artist.
disappointed in my baby hair!!!! Took her to The Color Bar in Conroe on Saturday for a silk press asked the stylist if she thought she needed a trim stylist said let's see after we are done asked if I wanted to get her a deep conditioning treatment I agreed . Fast forward after she was done I was very unhappy the quality of it wasn't worth the$130 I paid for a 10 yr old's hair!!! Not to mention she didn't trim it. Never even brought the trim up now I always get silk presses however this isn't what I got!!! I was quoted $75 over the phone then charged $85 I have never paid this much for a silk press. If you can't do the service properly don't do it at all!!! Something needs to be done!!! Pics are 15 seconds after we walked out the door not days later literally minutes later UPDATE: I got a call from the manager at The Color Bar who saw my google review she scheduled my baby to come back today for a free redo with a different stylist not gonna lie I was nervous but babyyy Mrs. Gayle did not disappoint!!!! She slayed my baby's hair yall!!! Such a big difference!!!Thank you color bar for rectifying my bad experience into a very awesome one
This is probably the worst experience i’ve ever had at a hair salon. I get there at 4:30 and off the bat, the stylist I booked with had me wait another 30 minutes. Which I didn’t fully mind because I had a friend there to keep my company. When I finally sat down in the chair she gave me a brush to brush out my hair and it had other hair that wasn’t mine on it. Very unhygienic so I had to pick out each and every hair on the brush. It COULD have been extension hair, but either way it’s very off putting to be handed a brush at a salon with other hair on it that isn’t yours. As soon as I started brushing, her NEXT client came in for a 5 o’clock appointment. So it became very clear to me that there was no time management with her and her clients. Either way, I brushed it off because what if her previous client had issues that needed to be fixed. Things happen. She starts washing my hair and lathers my scalp with conditioner which I don’t do because of hour oily hair naturally is, which is something that I communicated to her. She washed my hair so fast it felt like she didn’t finish getting the product fully out before she wrapped me up in a towel and had me back in the chair. I asked her for layers in the back and a face frame curtain bang. I asked her to even out the right side with my left and she actually huffed. had to ask her 3 separate times to fix my right side before I finally gave up and told her it was fine. She made a comment that my hair was taking forever to blow dry, my hair probably still looked wet because of the lathered conditioner that wasn’t fully washed out. When she was finished she showed me the back and it was pin straight with zero layers and I was hesitant to tell her that I didn’t like it by the atmosphere she created. By the end of it, my hair was flat, oily, and just not what I asked for. She was moving so fast throughout my entire appointment because she had her next client sitting up front waiting. I felt like I should have been her priority in that chair because of what I payed, instead of just another appointment to get through. I know I should have spoken up but she genuinely seemed rushed and ready to get me out of that chair. When she started taking the cover off of me I was wondering if she was going to curl my hair or do really anything to make it look better but she just told me I was done. Honestly was the most disappointing hair appointment i’ve ever had and won’t be going back there.
My colorist is in Manhattan, NY, so I decided to look around here and found this salon since I recently moved to Conroe. I have a question about the value of the dollar. Perhaps someone could answer this question about the value of the US dollar at this salon. Does the US dollar lose value if I speak Spanish? Don't worry, the answer is obviously no. I went to this salon looking for a professional who could give my hair a specific shade. I'm always willing to invest whatever money is necessary as long as they treat me well and are committed to their work, have ethics and professionalism, which the manager of this place clearly lacks. She gave instructions to the colorist assigned to me on how to work on my hair, and the sweet girl who helped me did exactly what she told her, and the color turned out poorly. Afterwards, the girl asked the manager to come to us so she could see the color, but she simply didn't want to. I, who am disabled, had to go to her because she didn't want to. She had to come out with the stupid idea of darkening my hair and coming back another day to clarify things. Does she think she's dealing with her mother or something? This place has a terribly discriminatory atmosphere. In the end, she left the girl alone, as if to say, "It's your problem, solve it!" And it was the best thing she could have said because the sweet girl who helped me finally made her decisions and fixed my tone. It wasn't what I asked for, but she still resolved it and it turned out great. But I definitely don't recommend this place because it doesn't matter if you have money to pay, if you don't speak English, they treat you horribly. I had made the appointment to get my hair touched up again, and I was also going to come back to pay for my membership. Well, the girl who served me deserves that I leave my money here, but I really don't think it's worth it, because the atmosphere of this place is terrible.
I cannot say enough about the service my mother and I received at the Color Bar in Conroe. My mom is getting up there in years and outside of medical appointments, she doesn't get out very often. I don't live in the area and am not able to take her out to get her hair done and she doesn't have much help at home with grooming since it's just her and my elderly father. In fact, she was embarrassed about the condition of her hair and scalp. From the moment we walked in the Color Bar, we were treated with nothing but care and respect. Camilla was her hairstylist and was so kind and patient while we figured out what my mom wanted and how to get close to it. She took her time combing through her hair which was quite tangled. My moms scalp was tender and she was so gentle with her. She washed her hair and scalp multiple times as there was build-up, but she never made her feel uncomfortable about the condition of her hair. In fact they made her feel pampered. Jade, the wonderful receptionist, came over during the lengthy wash and massaged her hands and arms with lotion. My mom felt like a queen. Everyone was so patient and took some time to ensure my mom was getting the cut she wanted. Amanda, the team lead/hairstylist was busy with a customer herself as well as training another stylist who was practicing on a wig. Despite that, she took the time to consult with my mom to ensure she was getting what she wanted and took the time to show the other stylists some techniques to get the "softer" look my mom was wanting. They ended up washing her hair a second time after the cut to make sure they got all of the buildup off. Then they retouched and styled. I wish I had a before picture because the difference between that and the after version of my moms hair cannot be described accurately. She glowed and looked beautiful afterwards. She kept raving about it during lunch. I cannot thank everyone enough for what they have given my mom. It's much more than a haircut!
Everyone was really nice, however Im disappointed with how my hair came out with the amount I paid. I could have gotten these results myself by making a trip to Sally's. I wanted a bold vibrant color which required bleaching, so I wanted a professional to do it. I walked out with the same dark color with a hint of color. We thought it would lighten once my hair was fully dry, when I got home and it was dry....I was really un happy especially since I spent close to $300 dollars
My husband and I both come here to get our routine trim. They never miss! We always leave satisfied and happy! I haven't colored my hair with them, yet. But I have seen others leave with their hair looking great!
