The BEST of the best! Went to Matt for the first time in 2011, and he's been keeping my locks golden and gorgeous ever since! Never have I trusted someone with my hair as much as I do with him!!! Cut, color, and style, always come out even better than I want, as Matt takes what I ask for and applies his expertise to make it into more. My hair is very fine and I grew up always frustrated trying to have body and keep curls in. The combo of cut and products I get from Matt, is magic and I now absolutely LOVE MY HAIR and have no problem with it. In addition to getting incredible hair, Matt is the nicest guy ever, and sitting in his chair for hours is an absolute delight! HIGHLY RECOMMEND to everyone!!!

Matt is the best hair dresser and stylist in Chicago. He's professional and talented and thoughtful. I have gotten my hair cut with him several times and he always gives me the perfect haircut for my lazy effortless lifestyle, and then he shows me how to style it perfectly for when I need to. I'll never go to another hair dresser and would recommend him to anyone.

I have been seeing Matt for cut and color for a couple of years now and have always had a fantastic experience. My hair is thin/fine and every cut he has given me has been perfect for my face shape and hair type. I have been a deep chocolate brown, a bright copper, and everything in between and my hair is always in excellent shape without any evidence of damage. Matt works with me to get the color that I want while also ensuring that he is caring for my hair and matching my color wants with my skin (fair) and eye colors (blue). His station is always spotlessly clean and thoroughly sanitized, so never any issues with safety at all, even with COVID. He's fun to chat with and an overall great person - you feel as though you're getting a great cut, color, and style from a friend. I highly recommend him to everyone looking for a high quality stylist and awesome person.

He is always on time, does a great job every time with my hair and is a blast to be around (which always makes my haircuts awesome). I have been going to Matt for 3 years now and will not go anywhere else. I always get a great cut and have a fun time. I have gotten a ton of compliments and now have friends that go to him as well. He taught me how to style my hair to get the look that I was going for but wasn’t able to consistently get. He has done a great job with keeping me feeling comfortable and safe during this pandemic. He changes his masks throughout the day and cleans between appointments. I love that my hair always looks great thanks to him.

I have been seeing Matthew for men's haircut services for over four years. I would recommend him for the following reasons: 1) he offers a 1:1 experience. The time spent in his salon is completely focused on you as a client and your hair. 2) I appreciate the time Matthew has spent devoted to the craftsmanship of cutting hair. He has a ton of experience not only doing but also teaching others as an instructor, which really comes through with his focus and attention to detail during the sessions. 3) Matthew helps work with me to create a great cut, even if I'm not always certain on how to articulate what I want on a given day. Convenient location, online booking as well. Definitely recommended if you are looking for a professional cut and style from a stylist who knows his stuff.
