I always look forward to going to Novachis Salon. It’s calm and quiet and homey. Amy and Erika work together to provide services to cut down on the time I am there. Amy’s haircuts are so good — she’s a perfectionist and so talented— that my hair maintains its shape for several months. I always have a good time with Amy and Erika when I get my hair done! Also, they research and are very knowledgeable about the products they use and are committed to using safe natural products.

I found Amy last year by asking Annie the bartender at Fat Rice who cut her hair. I don't normally do that, but the cut was so unique and perfect for her I had to know. Seven years ago I had learned from a young sculptress named Alma, who cut hair one night a week at the R bar in New Orleans for $10 (that included a shot), that the dry cut is magic on curly hair. I hunted down Devacurl salons, who understood the dry cut, and was happy. Now: Amy and Erika are rocking my world again. Amy cuts like a sculptress who has insights into your hair you've only dreamed of. The salon is intimate and joyful. I've met other clients and each one has a cut that is so unique to them and so flattering. People with different hair and head shapes - all way different than mine. At the risk of not being able to schedule my appointments again, I say, go. I know it seems like overkill to attach photos, but Amy and Erika are too humble to do it. Photos from two recent cuts... There's a reason my mom, grandma, and I all go to Amy and Erika!! Not only are they experts of their craft, but they both put so much intention and care into making the salon a great place to spend your time. I have been there for an hour to several hours and it's always been a lovely time. Whether you want to get a trim or touch-up, or go a whole new direction with your hair, Amy and Erika will get you there. They are dedicated to their clients looking and feeling beautiful.

If you have ever had a bad experience with a hair salon, feel nervous about trying something new, or feel lost when it comes to your hair, these 2 ladies will restore your faith. Their talent, attention to detail, kind heart, and charisma make you feel comfortable and you feel assured that you are in the right hands. I had the Cezanne hair treatment by Erika and Amy and my hair looks and feels so healthy, shiny, and frizz free. Erika is the sweetest person who truly listens and has magical hands. She is an expert when it comes to hair treatments and takes the time to explain everything to you and answer all your questions. I also received a haircut by the amazing Amy who takes the time to listen and customize a haircut suited for you while you also have the BEST conversations with her. She is truly an artist in her field and it was a pleasure to receive a haircut from her. Thank you so much for what you did for me, you both are amazing.

I have been going to Amy for the past twenty years. She has phenomenal technical skills and a great eye for not only what looks great but also what is just right for that particular client. She is a terrific listener, a kind and thoughtful person, and she truly cares about the quality of her work and the satisfaction of her clients; Amy is a real artist! I have never been unhappy with a hair cut and over the years have had random strangers on the street in Chicago, NYC, and London compliment my hair cut. The salon is sleek and calm, Erika is a top notch colorist, and these two women rightly deserve the stellar reputation they have for Cezanne keratin treatments. Hands down, I've gotten my best haircuts at Amy's salon. Pair that with the unique tranquil, spa-like experience which includes Erika's scalp massage (I asked her to marry me after one), the music playing just for you (they always ask about your current tastes), and the way Amy totally tunes into you as she reviews your last cut, how it's grown out, and what you'd like to do today. Amy is a highly skilled perfectionist so I know I'm always in good hands. Last time I was there I commented on Amy's own great haircut. She told me Erika cut her hair. So there you go, they're the Dynamic Duo! It's an amazing experience. Best thing, my hair is cut so well that it still looks great month after month as it grows out.

I love Amy and Erika. Amy’s hair cuts and stylings are amazing. She listens to what you want and what you find challenging about your own styling. She creates a haircut that not only looks great but fits your life. She teaches you how to style it. Erika does great color. Together they really operate in a customer first mindset. They are also wonderful human being. That combination of all of this makes going to the salon feel like a fun time with friends. Highly recommend.
