I've been going to Monty for a few months now, and he always takes great care of me and my hair. I came in recently with major breakage from a leave-out style I got somewhere else and from using too much heat. It felt like a hair emergency, but Monty and Dominique worked together to come up with a solid, realistic treatment plan. Dominique saved me with a quick weave flip-over style that looked amazing and protected my hair. She even went with me to the beauty supply store to grab some last-minute bundles—above and beyond. What I really appreciate is the versatility and diversity of this salon. As a Black woman on the North Side, it’s tough finding stylists who truly understand our hair and all the styles we wear. I'm so glad this salon provides that level of care and expertise.

If you’re looking for a natural/protective style hairstylist who provides the hair, wash and blow dry, good vibes, and great hair advice ask for Fanta! She did an amazing job on my small knotless butt length braids-and they’re lightweight! . She also does twists, box braids and many more styles. She was gentle with detangling my hair and even recommended hair products and hair routines for hair growth and retention- thank you Fanta (and Dominique) I love my braids 🙂

Dominique was professional, easy to talk to, and made the whole appointment comfortable. The salon itself has a welcoming atmosphere, and I left feeling great about my hair. Highly recommend booking with her if you want someone who truly knows their craft!

just got a haircut here after not getting a cut for way too long. dominique KILLED IT!!!! she understood exactly what i wanted and gave me an amazing cut! my hair feels amazingly light and healthy i am so happy with the cut. highly highly recommend!!!!!

Monty is the best hair stylist in Chicago. Hands down and undisputed! Not only are his hands blessed, his spirit is blessed also. I have gone to many popular stylists in Chicago, and now only Monty can touch my hair. Monty only uses high quality products, and genuinely cares about the well being of his clients; hair and your overall wellness. Monty is my stylist and also a friend. Visited Monty’s salon and he was the most AMAZING stylist I have ever had. He was incredibly professional and did a fantastic job dyeing (first time ever dyeing my entire head), blow drying, straightening, and trimming my hair. At no point was I ever worried. He took really good care of my hair and gave me essential advice to care for it. My hair feels healthy, bouncy and does not smell burnt. I will definitely be back! 😁
