Bernard’s haircuts and shaves are top-notch. I used to come to Nu Image back in ~2010-2011 when I was back in college, and I come here every month for a haircut now that I’m back in town. Every time I go to work or see friends after I have not gotten a haircut in 6 weeks, and then get my hair cut by Bernard, I get multiple compliments about how sharp my low-mid fade looks. I once got a cut by Jaelen (one of the other barbers) and that cut was just as good. I enjoy not just getting my hair cut here, but the conversations I have with the barbers. I highly recommend Nu Image.

I have paid extra for all scissors cut and I have to say that I have never been so disappointed in my life. I did not know my hair can look that bad. I came with a rather simple request: just shorten a bit, keeping the same shape, 1/2 inch on the side and then transition to longer on top. Right now, I have 1/4 inch at the bottom, up to 1 inch in the middle and back to a bit over 1/2 inch at the top of my sides. And that is not the worst. It is the single most uneven cut ever. It looks horrible, with short and long hair just sticking out randomly around the head. I was not even able to really understand how bad it was until I came home and washed and dried my hair. I thought it is looking weird because it was wet and I did not have glasses on. Moreover, my cut was fast with little communication about hair length. The scissors were either not sharp or the cutting was done in a way that pulled my hair all the time. I am terribly sorry that I have chosen Nu Image Barbershop.

Extremely unprofessional on multiple occasions. Cut off far more than I asked for and continued even after I very quickly suggested it was too much, while also making fun of me for how I asked for my haircut. Additionally, previously raised the price on me during the middle of my haircut due to how long it was, when it was considerably shorter than the length required to qualify as a long length cut. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place.

Bernard has 43 years experience as a barber. Experience speaks of authority and ease with which he handles his art. Highly recommended!

Nu Image is absolutely incredible! I’ve been going there for years. Both barbers are the greatest. I personally go to Jaelen. He’s amazing and he gives you exactly what you want for your haircut. I can’t imagine going anywhere else. If you’re thinking about where to go for your hair, stop thinking now and go to Nu Image!!

These guys have taken care of me for 8 years in Boston between two universities. I can’t thank Bernard and Jaelen for their professionalism, expertise, and most of all, friendship.
