Let me start by saying that personally, I don't think guys take advantage of hair spas as much as women do, which is a shame! Thanks to a TikTok I saw back in October, is how I found BIVA, and I am so glad I made an appt. immediately, instead of saying to myself, "Looks nice, but I'll come back to this later." Henry and Avelyn are amazing at what they do. From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed. Avelyn does the analysis of your scalp, talks to you about why you made the appt. and how you're feeling in the moment, and has a plethora of essential oils for you to select from, and then depending on your choice, you get a hot tea that matches the vibe of the oil you selected. I mean, talk about personalized service. From there Henry gave me a light neck and shoulder hot stone massage. Once the massage was over, it was time to move on to the main event, my luxe treatment. Henry placed a hot stone on my stomach (over the robe of course), put the most comfy, weighted blanket over me, put an eye cover on, and went to work on my hair and scalp for almost an hour. I could hear him talking throughout to tell me what he was doing step by step, but honestly, I was so relaxed that I don't think I really paid much attention to what he was saying, lol. Again, the treatment, the massaging of the scalp and washing of the hair we just so amazing, that I didn't want it to end. At the end, Avelyn was back to ask how I was feeling after the treatment, Henry gave me another hot tea, and I was given a small gift from Avelyn to use on my hair. I will most definitely be back to BIVA, even if just to treat myself a few times a year. Again, ladies, gentlemen, get your guys/partners in here, because more men need to take advantage of places like this.

I had the most incredible experience at this Korean head spa — truly unlike anything I’ve ever done before! From start to finish, everything was intentional, relaxing, and so thoughtfully curated. The session began with a personalized scalp consultation, followed by a custom herbal aromatherapy tea that was honestly the best tea I’ve ever had (they even gave me some to take home!). The atmosphere was soothing and elevated — with calming scents, gentle music, and a sense of peace that set the tone for the entire treatment. Henry was so great with the service as well, each step felt like a new layer of relaxation: therapeutic cleansing, scalp massage, deep repair shampoo, scalp mask, micro steam therapy, and the most refreshing waterfall towel rinse infused with herbs. I especially loved the custom oil neck and shoulder massage and the herbal ball warm compress. it all melted away tension I didn’t even realize I was holding. The experience finished with a bubble detox wash, lymphatic detox therapy, and a sound bath healing session that left me feeling completely renewed — mind, body, and spirit. The complimentary gift at the end was such a thoughtful touch as well, truly this place has exceeded my expectations The owner, Avelyn, is absolutely amazing! so knowledgeable, passionate, and kind. You can tell she truly cares about each client’s well-being. She even shared a bit of her personal story with me, which made the experience feel even more meaningful and personable I walked out feeling lighter, deeply relaxed, and glowing from the inside out. I have been curious about head spas for awhile and I am so glad I tried this one! I assumed it would involve a lot of massage of my scalp and cleaning of my hair and they definitely delivered on that. But they also created a full sensory experience that made my time there incredibly relaxing and restorative and soothing. They provided a custom in-house hot herbal tea before and after the scalp treatment. My experience included choosing an essential oil and having it infused during the treatment. If you love aromatherapy this experience will delight you, there were so many amazing smells. I also appreciated the sound bath elements and the music. I enjoyed hot stone massage of my neck and shoulders as well as a hot pack on my abdomen to keep me cozy during the treatment. I was also very impressed with the scalp and hair analysis tools, so I learned important things about my hair and scalp health during this restorative treatment. The spa also had a lovely decor and ambience, and was easy for me to find and park and get inside (sometimes this can be so stressful in LA). The two practitioners that worked with me were so kind and attentive. I left feeling incredibly relaxed and calm, and my hair felt and looked amazing.

The moment I stepped in to book, I was greeted by a male KPop Idol, so I KNEW this place would be LEGIT haha! All jokes aside, he was very professional & helpful in booking my treatment. I returned the following day to have a girl’s date with my MIL for her birthday. We also had the pleasure of having the owner of the spa treat us. Both were extremely knowledgeable. This whole experience was relaxing, and full of beautiful scents & the ultimate relaxation. This was the perfect day & I definitely will be returning. I can’t wait to bring more friends!!

They recommended switching from the Royal to the Luxe tier because it fit my scalp better and later sent a text with personalized scalp and hair care tips. For about a week after my visit, my routine was the same, but I felt calmer, less stressed, and more balanced.
