Roots Salon is the absolute best. I see Mattie Wilson and I love her and her technique. She works with me on my schedule, she takes great care of my hair, and her coloring is perfect. She is a doll of a person, has a great attitude, and I am so grateful I found her. Way to go Roots Salon!!!!

I love RooTs and I can't say enough good things about my phenomenal hair sylist, ELiSE! I recently nicknamed her "the genius" as she has made me feel and look my best. Thank you. The salon has a great vibe, good size area to sit while you're waiting, always water, tea, etc. available and good tunes.

I'm disappointed to share this but it feels important to give accurate tellings of experiences so new clients can make informed decisions. I made an appointment here for a blowout (wash + blow dry) to have nice hair for professional branding photos I was having done. Unfortunately I was pretty unhappy with the outcome. Even though Dana was very friendly, the skill level did not meet my expectations. My hair was flat, no volume, and she used a lot of hair spray which I was not used to having in stylings I've had post haircut at other studios. It left my hair looking greasy and parting oddly. No body, no waves -- I have wavy hair naturally. I even called once I got home and inspected it in the mirror, to express my disappointment. I thought someone would call me back or something, but no one did. I was quoted $30 over the phone, despite explaining my hair length but was charged $40 and ended up paying $45 with tip. I guess I should have just gone to the Blo Bar for $50. I was trying to save a buck and it did not work in my favor. I was just so disappointed since I had makeup done and a photographer arranged. It was an important day for me.

Dora gave me the worst haircut of my life. usually i'm pretty indifferent to haircuts but i have never gotten such a bad one. my bf never notices when i get a haircut but immediately called out how uneven my hair was when i got home from this cut. honestly, it looks like a blind kindergartener cut my hair. I wouldn't let Dora cut my hair again even if she offered to pay me. it was that bad

My go-to spot for a hair cut! I have always had a great experience no matter who my stylist is. However, I have recently been a repeat customer for Dora! She is so detailed and careful with every cut. You can't go wrong with this studio! I love how they are affordable, local, and staff such friendly stylists. Would recommend to anyone!

Mattie at Roots is the best of the best. I found her nearly 10 years ago because I randomly stopped someone whose hair I loved to see who they used, and it was the right move! I've been seeing her ever since. She does an immaculate cut and color every single time. Hes great with straight and curly hair, and I've done everything from low lights to highlights, grey coverage, pink and purple peek a boo color, and more - and it's always perfect. The pricing is affordable and pretty competitive for Boulder. She is also a lovely person - I highly recommend and would travel far to see her!

I have received great services from Megan. She offers ,cuts,color, specialty styling & services . In addition, if you are looking for specialty #extension services . Megan will be you go to #stylist for the most up to date looks . If Megan is booked up, I highly recommend Olga, Dora, Lisa, and Ellen . Maddy & Travis are great too!
