Madison Reed Hair Color Bar Boulder

I went to Madison Reed for a balayage and it was done very poorly. The initial result was brassy, uneven, and nothing like my inspo photos. I had to go back the next day for a three-hour color correction. While the final result is more wearable, it’s still brassy and uneven from the first application. Customer service was responsive and corrected it at no charge, but balayage is clearly not their strong suit. I would not recommend coming here for that service. The images show my hair from the first appointment… never have I ever seen an application like that lmaoooo they did me dirty y’all 😱

I was in town for work and happened upon MadisonReed looking for a salon because I was desperately in need of color. I literally hit the jackpot. Natalie took time with me and we found a blend on her tablet that would be flattering with my skin tone and able to add a little red for fun. She absolutely NAILED it! I am in love with the color and shine. I wish I could come back as a member to see her but Rhode Island is pretty far. One note I wasn’t aware of is they do have an area in the back where you can blow dry your own hair for services that don’t include a blowout. I did choose a blowout and I’m very happy with it, but it was good to know that that was an option. What was also nice is they offered us coffee tea water sidenote their coffee was amazing. I had 2 cups. Thank you Natalie for an awesome color, great conversation, and my great confidence boost!

I needed to get a color adjusted. Everyone I was in contact with was kind and gracious and I never once felt like anything was off putting or too much. In fact, the only impression I got was that they wanted me to be happy and satisfied. They came up with a plan, made adjustments along the way, and went the extra mile to make sure everything looked just right. Christopher and his staff are awesome and the vibe at this salon is a mix of fun and easy. I am more than appreciative and will keep going back.

I’ve been going to Madison Reed in Boulder since I moved here over 3 years ago. They are fantastic! I love the staff especially Cheryl and Natalie. My color is always consistent and without the harsh chemicals. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Wow! Where do I start…I was thoroughly impressed with everyone there! The service was amazing! I felt like I got extra special attention, but I think that’s just how awesome they are with all their customers! My hair looks fantastic and I feel like it makes me look 10 years younger!

Came here for a balayage and I was not happy with the results. I can back in for them to fix it and my roots still looked horrible. The staff at Madison Reed were very kind to me and gave me a refund. I had to do a 6 hour color correction at a different salon. I can honestly say… I have never been treated so well at any hair salon in Colorado! I have been from Lodo to Cherry Creek and many other cities. I was getting a correction from another stylist and decided to head to this salon in Boulder last Saturday 9/27/25. Truly, I was an emotional mess having lost a 30 year relationship that week. Not sure behind the scenes or I mentioned it to the sweet lady who was raving about the salon, next to me. Next thing I knew, Christopher, Salon Manager and his Sweet stylist ( I will edit this with her name) treated me to the most perfect color, xtra highlights and insisted on a shampoo massage, hair repair packs, mask conditioners all courtesy of the salon, and kindness most of all!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Rare to find any business or salon that has such sensitivity and concern. Not to mention their talent. I will not go anywhere else, and will copy this post to corporate. Karen
