I recently visited Zyphyr Barber for the first time, and it definitely lived up to the recommendation from a co-worker! Finding a good barbershop in Birmingham has been a challenge, with most being either too expensive, not well-maintained, or overly extravagant. Zyphyr Barber was a refreshing change. The shop itself has a modest, modern feel with an open, industrial vibe and five barber chairs—just the right size for a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Scott was my barber, and he did an incredible job. He took the time to ask what style I wanted and made sure it suited my face shape. The attention to detail was impressive. The entire staff was super friendly and easy to talk to. They had the kind of camaraderie that made the whole place feel like a group of lifelong friends, which only added to the relaxed vibe. My cut included a hot cream shave on my neck with a soothing, menthol-scented towel that was incredibly refreshing, plus a hair wash and a drink before I left. If you’re looking for a quality haircut in a friendly environment and at a great price, I highly recommend giving Zyphyr Barber a try. It’s my new go-to spot in Birmingham!

Kellen and the crew at Zephyr Barber take the haircut process to a new level. The space is clean, calm, and looks incredible. Kellen is the best barber I’ve had anywhere. He takes his time and works his magic. You never feel like he’s rushing you to get to the next. Try it once and you’ll be hooked.

Signed up the first time with Jon Funderburk, not knowing him at all. Haven't changed to anyone else because Jon is fantastic! Does a great job with the haircut, doesn't talk too much, washes the hair after the cut (which is a huge plus because then I don't have to figure out how to remove all of the excess hair on my clothes). Definitely recommend him!
