I love my recent cut and color from Arin llejay! He listens carefully, pays great attention to detail, and offers thoughtful suggestions. Arin is professional, easy to talk to, and truly makes the experience enjoyable - highly recommend!

I have been seeing Loni since she got out of beauty school and I followed her when she opened up Blue star. I highly recommend Loni and Blue star because they have great skills and it is a relaxing atmosphere!!

No client should walk away from an interaction feeling belittled, frustrated and angry due to poor customer service and lack of clear communication. I had an appointment scheduled with Megan. I showed up on time for my appointment on Tuesday just to be told that she had me down for Monday and since I was not there on Monday she was charging me a $50 no show fee and no one else could do my hair for at least a month. If she had reserved time for me on Monday rather than Tuesday, why not call me when I wasn’t there to see if I was still coming? I would have driven down in 5 minutes if she had but called - and I could understand the no show fee if she had attempted to reach out to me. Instead, she wasted my time - as I took time off for work on Tuesday to attend the appointment - and then had the audacity to be rude when I showed up for my appointment. Clearly there was a misunderstanding about the time of the appointment, but to handle it the way she did shows a severe lack in communication skills and customer service skills. She has cost Blue Star a client who has been getting her hair done there for years. I will not return there and will no longer recommend the salon to anyone. "When clients are late or forget appointments we have a small window of time to contact them for a late arrival and still be on time for our other clients the rest of the day." NO ONE FROM BLUE STAR TRIED TO CONTACT ME AT ANY TIME "were at that time given a reminder card to the actual time and date you were scheduled the following week." I WAS NEVER GIVEN A REMINDER CARD "We do our best, providing appointment cards for our clients and your time was confirmed the week prior." I WAS NEVER GIVEN AN APPOINTMENT CARD

Jeni has a fabulous vibe and great knowledge! My hair was an ugly rust color after the red color washed out, it was dry and brittle from the air here. She literally worked a miracle on my hair! It was worth the money let me tell you! One of the most talented hair stylists I’ve experienced! I’ve already recommended her to my family, friends, and coworkers and booked my next appointment for a follow up! She’s the only one I’m going to now and been doing hair for 27 years, she asked questions about that I’ve NEVER had any stylists bother to ask questions about my hair with previous dyes, bleached, brands, etc

Megan Sedres at Blue Star Salon has been my hair styling expert for many years. I have thick, coarse, gray hair which has always been a challenge for me and other stylists. Megan "gets" my hair! She also works with several others in our friends and family group; we all love her.

Loni, the owner and my stylist is one of the most bad a** people I know. I've been going to see her for cuts for over 10 years. The Salon is a very welcoming and pleasant place to be. The studio itself is set up in a very safe and ergonomic way (distancing considering) with stylish decorations. The location is great, after you get a cut you could walk around downtown and show off your pretty new hair. If I could give her 100 stars i would.

I called and asked if they did hair tinsel (I was going on a trip and I wanted it for the trip) and they said they did so I scheduled an appointment to go in and get the tinsel. The person who put in the 12 pieces of hair tinsel in was very nice but struggled to get the hair tinsel to stay. She said it was because my hair is so slippery. she gave me her phone number if they fall out. That night I went home and brushed my hair and they all fell out. Side note, i have gotten hair tinsel before at the fair it it stayed in for a month. I reached out to her and she was very apologetic and we scheduled a time for me to come back in and get them put in again. I went in and it took about 2 hours for them all to be put in again. She told me they would hold this time. 2 days later they had fallen out already. I was kind of over it at this point because I had spent a total of 3.5 hours doing this and I live on the other side of town. The salon is very clean and professional and the people there are very kind but it was definetly very disappointing that I spent $50 on something that didn’t last like it should.
