What's not to LOVE about Jeffrey's work? He is an excellent hairstylist. A master of his trade for sure! His hair cuts are so precise and well-done that my hair grows out holding a beautiful shape and style. His use of color is spot-on as well. Jeffrey listens carefully to what you are requesting, and delivers as asked. He offers his wisdom, insight and technical expertise as a way of building on your hair preferences. He is always invested in your being completely satisfied with your visit. Jeffrey's salon is a beautiful, clean, classy space decorated with interesting artwork. You can sense his appreciation for beauty and style no matter what direction he turns you in the chair! Perhaps most importantly, I love Jeffrey's warm, welcoming, caring spirit!! I've been going to Jeffrey for many years, and he consistently exudes an open-hearted, interested, insightful energy. The first question Jeffrey asks when entering his salon is 'how was your hair this month?' Although Jeffrey has been cutting and coloring my hair for 20 years, he is always looking to improve on the last cut and make me and my hair happy. Jeffrey is a perfectionist, somewhat of a hair-styling genius, and one the nicest guys you'll ever meet.

If there were a contest to be Jeffrey's longest-running client, I would certainly qualify as one of the top three. I estimate that in 40 years he has given me 520 haircuts!! So you could definitely say I am a very satisfied customer. Jeffrey is THE BEST, bar none! I have gotten many compliments on my hair over the years. One of the first people I talked to (at any length) when my spouse and I moved to Washtenaw County was our mortgage lender, and my first question was, "Who cuts your hair?" Sure, building a new home and qualifying for a loan were important, but here was someone with a great haircut and (as anyone who has moved to a new town knows) finding a compatible and talented stylist can be hard. That was almost twenty-five years ago and Jeffrey Michael Powers has been my stylist ever since. Jeffrey is an artist who can imagine what the customer can’t even begin to describe. He listens very carefully to what I want and then works within those parameters to give me something better. I’m not sure how to put this, but part of Jeffrey’s talent lies, I believe, in his ability to understand how a customer sees herself and how that image includes who she has been as well as who she is.
