I called for a walk in and was so courteously offered a same day appointment. Claudia did a wonderful job with my hair, cut and style. She was incredibly painstaking and patient. Wonderful attitude. Will definitely be going back. Love the clean, light filled salon.

I have been coming to Avissa Salon for several years to get my haircuts with Charlie who is a barber there. I cannot say enough good things about the haircut service that Charlie provides. He is clearly experienced and skilled by the care and attention to detail that he has put into every haircut. But I also describe him as an artist! I often trust him to do what he thinks looks best with my haircuts, and I’m always impressed with how sharp and fashionable I look walking out. You can expect a premium men’s haircut where the barber will listen to your needs and incorporate any feedback you may have. He will also wash your hair with shampoo and provide a nice relaxing scalp massage. And he will check in with you throughout the haircut to make sure everything is trending how you want it. I rely on Charlie now for caring for my hair, and I suggest you give him a try as well! Make sure you pick your appointment on a day that he works (I believe it’s Tuesdays/Saturdays, but this could change so check with Avissa when you schedule).

I had my hair cut by Mia and it was an excellent experience! This was my first professional cut in several years and I needed to chop off quite a bit of length. I showed Mia a few reference photos and explained that I was looking for something with shape and movement since I don’t do much in terms of styling, and she gave me exactly what I wanted! I also really liked being able to schedule an appointment via email. Very affordable and efficient on top of everything else.

I've been a regular at Avissa Salon for the past two years, and they never disappoint when it comes to my hair color and cuts. My first visit was for a convocation, and Kim worked her magic, even accommodating my last-minute decision to get a haircut. I opted for a high-low bob, and she nailed it—so much so that my husband and friends barely recognized me! On my next visit, Mia took care of my haircut, paying close attention to my wavy/curly hair needs. She gave me beautiful layers that really enhanced my natural texture, and I loved the result. Most recently, I had highlights done by Emiley. She encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and try Mahogany highlights instead of my usual honey caramel, and I'm so glad I trusted her judgment! The color is perfect, tailored to suit my skin tone, and even after four months, I still get compliments. I also brought my mom in for a makeover, and Emiley was wonderful—making her feel at ease and giving her stunning highlights for the first time. Overall, this salon consistently goes above and beyond. Highly recommended!

I've visited Avissa for years, mainly for Brazilian Blowouts. I went during the pandemic and they handled it all so professionally and with ease. Kimia has been great. I drive there from Toledo, just again today. Very satisfied. Maybe to throw in a little humor, I hesitated to post this review because I don't want Kimia to be booked up when I need her! 🙄😊

My daughters have been going to this salon for 4 consecutive years. My eldest daughter had long beautiful locks down to her waist and was given a cut that is choppy and looks like split ends. It’s awful. She was given layers when she didn’t ask for them - and they are uneven for that matter. She wakes up every morning devastated. I agree that her hair has been ruined. While it’s not the end of the world and will grow back, it is a terrible experience to have to go through, especially when your hair is your pride and joy. I would not recommend this salon but rather make the drive into town and go to another. After 4 years of being clients, we will not return.

I am loyal for life. I used to go to a teaching salon, but once I sat with Kimya at Avissa, I was assured. Her highlight treatment is so perfect, quick, easy and gorgeous every time. She is kind and fun and affordable. Thank you Avissa. I am prettier with your professionalism.
