I came here today after seeing the $180 special on TikTok. I was told to come in at 9 AM. Get there, the entire store is locked and it’s dark in there. I texted the number on there tiktok…NO RESPONSE. Come to find out the store/shop doesn’t open until 9:30 AM. So I’m not sure why the person I was texting told me to come in at 9. The workers didn’t start rolling in until 9:40ish. The braider didn’t get started on my hair until 10:20. Overall I think the braider was fast, shop was clean, everyone was nice, the braider kept checking in throughout the appointment. I’m satisfied with the finished product. However, it’s unacceptable to schedule a client when the store/shop isn’t even open. I had to wait an additional hour and 20 minutes AFTER my "scheduled appointment." No one apologized and that text I sent to check in on why the store wasn’t open…no one bothered to even respond back. Highly unprofessional and there needs to be better and clearer communication. Thank goodness I was off today so I was able to wait around but if you’re booked n busy….good luck Attaching pictures to show I was there at 9 AM and then texting my mom at 9:24 to let her know the braiders still hadn’t arrived. Also a photo of the text thread to show my appointment was scheduled for 9.
Edit to follow the lack of accountability. I discussed what I wanted and the stylist did HER INTERPRETATION. I asked for boho knotless, the TikTok added restrictions after I arrived within comments which are timestamped AFTER my arrival and I have the TikTok downloaded to show all different boho sizes and lengths included in the promo. Next time be honest with you clients to avoid negative reviews. Additionally, if it were a "standard rate" posted somewhere, how did we go from $340 to $220? How did the other ladies with knotless braids get there ends braided down with no request? Horrible business, horrible customer service, and thieving business practices. Buyer beware! AND THEY HAVE ROACHES. highly do not recommend. $340 WITHOUT HAIR is robbery. And lying about pricing on social media is pathetic. I unfortunately camed based on tiktok recommendations and a $180 boho Thanksgiving deal. first, they do whatever length they want and do not braid all the way down. I asked for BOHO braids and showed a picture for color reference however I will give grace and assume she used it as picture and length which is why when style is discussed, they should've had me speaking with the person with strong English understanding. I was mostly pointing at the picture bc I could see the confusion and I didn't know another way to explain. she braided waist length (did not ask nor did I want this length) and only half down. she started to braid the braids together and grab rods as if we were about to dip and I asked if she was finishing the braids. she said ends are curly for boho which is irrelevant to how far down the hair is braided. She stated to braid all the way down it's $340 on top of the $100 in hair! I stopped responding and allowed her to braid down. She spoke to the braider next to her in their language which I think was helpful, I got to the register and she charged $220 which is still above what was agreed on. They also dipped the curly hair which I have never s em and it immediately matted. WILL NEVER RETURN OR RECOMMEND!!!
Took my daughter twice for the same style. First with pink and purple hair second with red and black. They did a good job and stayed late to finished. We're very helpful and catering with my tender headed daughter. The first time she cried cause her hair was in such a nappy mess it took an hour and 3 ladies to detangle it and they were very patient with her. My daughter did say the woman who did it the second time (in the picture taking the first braids out to put me one in) was a bit rougher on her hair. It was about $200 for a 5 hour hair job. Plus the tips I have to all who helped out. And it was worth it.
I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel the need to share my recent experience at this braid salon. I made my appointment a week in advance and even sent a photo of the style I wanted. The owner confirmed the style and gave me a price ahead of time, which I appreciated. My appointment was scheduled for 9:00 AM, but the salon didn’t open until 9:10. I was understanding—things happen—but it didn’t stop there. I was told there were seven stylists, but only about three showed up around 9:30 and immediately started working on other clients. I waited until 10:10 AM for my stylist to arrive. I was told she was one of the best and fastest. Before she began, I showed her the photo again and explained what I wanted. After braiding a few rows, she suggested adding curly hair to make the style fuller and more beautiful. I told her I didn’t want to go over my budget. She reassured me that I would only need to pay for the curly hair, and the braid price would remain the same. I agreed, trusting her word. Unfortunately, the final result was the worst braid style I’ve ever received. The braids were uneven—she braided about 3/4 in jumbo size and the rest in medium size, trying to hide the inconsistency with the added curls. When I pointed out some untrimmed braids, she insisted she trimmed as she went, but many were clearly left unfinished. To make things worse, the owner not only praised the stylist’s work but also told her to charge me over $40 more than the original quoted price—claiming the style wasn’t a jumbo braid. That’s exactly what I was trying to explain: the style was mixed, poorly done, and far from what I requested. This experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and disappointing. I would not recommend this salon unless there are serious improvements in honesty, punctuality, and attention to customer expectations.
I had a wonderful experience! What I was quoted over the phone was exactly what I paid—no surprises, which I really appreciated. My stylist was absolutely amazing and brought my vision to life perfectly. I'm beyond happy with the results! I’ll be sharing photos of what I asked for vs. what I received—spot on! 😊 Highly recommend!
I went to her a few times but the last two times my braids slipped out in 1-2 days, don't get me wrong they do nice work they just need to grip better so the style can last longer. I paid $200-$300 plus tip like $20 so yea it's irritating because I'm a braider myself but I guess.
I was referred here to get braids by a lady who had just gotten crochet braids. I called and let them know I would like to get box braids and she gave me appointment that same week. Upon my arrival I was greeted by a lady and waited less than five minutes before I got started, the braiding area is in the back of a hair supply store, which is useful since you do have to buy the hair yourself. Their prices were not outrageous, and it didn’t take that long at all. I was there less than five hours for medium size box braids.
