Sunrise Hair Studio

I've been getting waxed here for the past year and they always do a great job. Very friendly, very quick, and thorough. The owner Sue often gives me free products like skin spray treatment, plus she's hilarious! The only reason I am not giving a full five stars is because they don't have online booking.

Belove this place and Sue! Been a customer for 10 years now and will not go anywhere else for my waxing needs. From day one Sue made me feel comfortable during the process and it was appreciated. She is the nicest person and offers excellent service!

I was getting a wax done and the person was extremely aggressive and rushed the process even though it was dead in the studio. I was bleeding and terrible pain for days. Mind you, I still had hair in a ton of places. I get waxes normally and never shave. My bikini waxes were never (not even near) that bad. Also the studio was a mess and looked like someone's cluttered house. The heat was on when it was hot out. If she was at least nice to me I would have been more understanding. She also sweated on me and wouldn't ease up. Won't be going back.

I've only been here for waxes but May is great. I never had any pain and she is really nice and will make you're being waxed because you're so relaxed with her. Parking is easy to find (street parking and a parking garage) but can be difficult on Saturdays when it's the farmers market but overall I would definitely recommend coming here for waxes.

I went there after receiving the worst hair cut of my life in hopes that someone open on a Sunday could fix me before heading into work where I would surely be bullied all day. Sunrise salon was the Place that didn't act snobbish on the phone and sounded as heart broken as I was to my problem. They took me immediately. It has a cute locations and you are treated by two of the cutest dogs I have ever met. I have seen people cut hair, but vector sculpted a flattering Bob, high in the back and Long in the front, to save the previous hair cut. The attention to detail was insane. I will never go anywhere else again

I walk in on a Sunday. No customers there and only one stylist Valter. He had me sign in (after waiting for quite a while since he was on the phone). He immediately started talking about how Groupon gets paid but he doesnt. Next he takes me back and tells me what he is going to do to my hair. Didn't ask what I wanted and when I told him I was concerned with only a trim of a quarter inch he started talking over me and kept telling me about how bad my haircut was. He kept complaining about money, telling me my hair was damaged and kept pushing me to do a keratin treatment. He had to stop the service multiple times because of the phone and walk in clients. The only thing I liked was how he styled. Unfortunately he burnt my scalp multiple times with the blow dryer, while still telling me about all my damage and trying to sell the keratin treatment. Once he finished it looked nice...only 4 inches too short and I'm sure when I try to wear my hair natural (which is curly) it will look even shorter. He then charged me $25 for having "long hair" which is basically chopped off. I am livid. I've never written a review in my life and it was such a horrible experience I felt the need to. I've worked in many day spas and salons and have never cried after a service. I will not be returning.

Terrible haircut experience with Valter de Camillis. I would not recommend him. I get there after work for a haircut (I have long straight blonde hair) after having my hair in a pony tail all day. I pull it down so he can see it, and explain that I would like side sweep bangs and long layers (my usual style). WITHOUT washing my hair, greasy on the top, with a weird bump in the middle from my ponytail, he begins to cut it. I ask if he is going to wash it first, which causes him to go off on how he is doing the dry cut method so he can keep track of the flow of hair. I have never had this type of haircut before. I try to explain that I don't actually have wavy hair, but that it is straight, but he points to the bump saying that there are waves. He begins to "thin" out my hair to "lighten" it, basically shearing my thick beautiful hair into thin locks. I am starting to get upset and question him again, and he assures me that he has been cutting hair for a very long time. Finally he washes my hair and blows it out straight (parted down the middle after I explained I part it on the side) and lo and behold he did not give me the side sweep bangs I had asked for. I thought this might be part of his "cutting process" and I point this out to him, reminding him that I had requested them when we had initially "Consulted" as he called it. He said he had finished the cut and that he would not ruin his work by giving me the bangs and that I could do that at home if I wanted. He also noted that I had split ends. At the end of the cut. He noted I had split ends. And I'm sitting there thinking, why the heck do you think I'm here to have my hair cut. As I write this review, I still have significant split ends. I don't usually write reviews, but crying on the car ride home utterly dissatisfied with my experience and hair cut I thought I'd warn the next girl. Oh, and he began to get mad, seeing that I was dissatisfied and angrily told me that he had given me a good cut and that I should go on yelp and review him because he deserved it. So here I am and yes he does. I wish there was a no star option.
