LaVogue Hair Studio

I had a wonderful first experience with Latonya at LaVogue Hair Studio last week. Latonya gently washed and deep-conditioned my hair with a soothing red light steam treatment. Then she gave me an expert, very necessary, cut followed by my first silk press. My hair looks and feels amazing! I am so pleased with the results and recommend Latonya to all. I have already scheduled an appointment for my mom.

If you don't know, let me tell you! Ms. Latonya is AMAZING! The studio is welcoming and professional. I am so grateful to have found her. From the moment she took my call. Absolutely a blessing. I had a wonderful experience. New to the area and finding someone you can trust with your hair is a monumental task. However, I found that person and she is amazing! I have virgin hair no color, no chemical straightener or anything like that. She listened to my needs and preferences. She assessed and provided recommendations. Let me tell you. I’ve never had my hair this straight before. I got my hair done on during a rain storm and it still looks perfect 3 weeks later. This hair held up through crazy rain storms and intense work shifts. My hair is extremely soft and healthy. It is also lightweight. She’s did a fantastic job and I can’t wait to go back and be spoiled.

Great experience the atmosphere was relaxed, soft music, and not crowded. My daughter went home played with her hair and loved how healthy her hair looked after she got a trim and an old color removed. It was worth every penny getting a steam treatment I was now able to see her in the stage of growth again.

Don’t bother calling this establishment to inquire about a service you’ll be met with the most rude customer service. The same way the black hair world complains about hair stylists out there it’s no different right here: Rudeness, Non existent hospitality I called to ask about doing a sew-in install letting the hair stylist know that I already had weave cornrows in. She very rudely described that she doesnt do those she begins from scratch with cornrows and to find someone else, and hang up. Shocked truly. Now if she had been open to an actual conversation with a prospective client I would have understood that maybe that’s an unwritten policy of hers and be willing to begin the process from scratch at this establishment. But even with the rude manner she arose to I would not be willing to do my hair or use my black dollars anywhere near here. Please black women partner with humane hospitable hair stylists.

Had an AMAZING experience with Latonya. I came in with over processed relaxed hair from another salon. I was so nervous to to the big chop. Latonya was so patient with me and have me options based on the amount of damage I had. I came into the salon the day before for a consultation. There were 2 options and I chose to "start from scratch" versus adding pieces. Long story short, "I love my hair".
