the work I had done on my hair absolutely reversed all the blonde I had worked for years to keep. After she did my hair faced away from a mirror the whole time i told her i didn't like it. She told me it would lighten up like i want it in a few months, after it did not I contacted her and she said to deal with it. Please be careful when coming here. My hair was the light blonde and she darkened it to make it easier for her to color correct. It’s not ugly it’s just not the color I wanted. She did a good job ever all but it wasn’t what I wanted.

Horrifying! My daughter had highlights in her hair and decided she wanted to dye her full head of hair to her natural color. I went with her to Laru Ni Hati on Central hoping for a simple dye that would be somewhere near her natural color. First her appointment was moved an hour later at the last minute, but that turned out to be a small inconvenience compared to the entire experience. There wasn't a strand test or a consultation. Yvette placed dye on my daughter's hair and went missing until 25-30 minutes later. After Yvette was finished dying my daughter's hair, we both could not believe how dark the color was compared to her natural color. It was an extremely dark brown rather than her natural ash blonde. Over an inch of her natural blonde hair still showed near her roots. After speaking with Yvette about the color, she declared a removal of the dark brown/black color would be needed and another dye be done. Even though it was her mistake we were told she could not address the issue immediately, but instead could see her in three days. We requested something sooner, but Yvette could not "fit us in", so another stylist agreed to see her the next morning. After waiting an additional hour from the appointment time, yet again, she was seen. First they stripped the black dye out. Then it was time to dye her hair again. Like Yvette, another employee named Steph, indicated that an ash dye should be used, since there were not golden or red tones in her natural color. Once the dark color was removed a third person named Diane decided that a golden rather than an ash should be used, totally stating the opposite of what Steph and Yvette said. My daughter has never had golden or red tones in her hair. Well until now, since her hair color turned out a strange dark brown with an orange hue. I felt like Steph wanted to do the right thing and tried to fix the problem, however Diane seemed unwilling to put in the effort, perhaps shooting for a quick fix. After a quick fix was not available my daughter was ignored. Although most everything was done wrong, they did get the charging me $115.00 dollars right. My daughter did go to a different salon where they lifted the dark brown color out of her hair, and toned the hair. Four hours later and an additional $180.00 she had a light brown color uniform throughout. The orange however cannot be fixed and remains. However, my daughter does get to try a new product. Since we also had to purchase a shampoo and conditioner with a blue tone, to help tone down the orange. Hair nowhere near her natural color. Needless to say it will take a very long time for her hair to recover. Suggest if you're considering going to this salon, reconsider. Horrible and seriously costly experience.

My husband and I lived in New Mexico from 2016 - 2019. This was our go-to salon for getting our hair cut. You're in good hands regardless of who cuts your hair, we never ended up with a 'bad haircut'. The stylists are all friendly and personable, and as a bonus you can get yourself a beer/cider while you wait for your appointment, or wait on your spouse to get their trim! (at least, that was the situation before COVID lol)

A complete waste of money for a mediocre job. I came to this salon based on their reviews on here. Worst choice. I went to get my roots lightened to match the rest of my hair and all they did was add bleach and supposedly toner. I had to go to a different salon and get it fixed. The owner contacted me and I sent photos of the disastrous hair I was left with. I asked for a full refund, but they never got back to me of course. They left my scalp irritated and bleeding.

Dyan did such a good job with my hair cut! She was very fast for a dramatic hair cut, we took a lot off and I’m so happy with the results. Lovely experience overall.

I had been going to this salon for over 10 years but after my past couple of experiences I will never go back. I first discovered them because they had the incredible option of an affordable women's cut without a blow dry (perfect for someone with curly hair) and then I started using them for vibrant color. This means that I select and consult with specific stylists, rather than booking at random. Well, my last color appointment the stylist was changed last minute and the replacement stylist not only didn't listen to what I wanted, she charged me FAR more than I had been quoted and told me she couldn't change it. The owner was quite rude about the whole situation and rather than actually correcting the amount I was charged, she offered a free toner (which certainly wasn't going to fix the incorrect color correction I received). After about a year, I decided to try to give them another try. I researched their new stylists and intentionally booked with someone other than the owner for a consultation. Well, the day before my appointment, I get the confirmation text saying that I was now scheduled with the owner. I went to the appointment anyway and the salon was closed when I arrived. After 15 minutes the owner apparently couldn't even be bothered to show up. Definitely will be going somewhere else for my color.

My boyfriend and I recently had the pleasure of being styled by Marissa at Laru Ni Hati. We booked our appointments on the same day, with him opting for a perm and haircut while I went for a simple trim for my long hair. Marissa took her time to understand our preferences and delivered great results for both of us. My boyfriend's unique hair type was a bit of a challenge during the perm process, but Marissa was very patient throughout ensuring every detail was attended to. It was a very enjoyable experience for us. Thank you for the wonderful transformations, Marissa!
