Hair It Is

i went with summer to do my hair, although she did a beautiful job there was a very negative energy in the shop. the hair stylists were continuously giving summer dirty looks & it was obvious they were talking bad about her. summer was wonderful, had great energy, and is a great mom. she deserves an environment that appreciates her & her great work. the hair was adorable & i was happy with the results.

I’ve never cried so hard after a haircut. Not what I wanted, all my color was cut off. I wanted length and now 4inches are gone. Confidence gone. I’ve been growing my hair out for 6 years now and didn’t want to cut it. I just wanted my tips trimmed. I hate my hair so much. Never again. Not for $240. Not to be not listened to. I wanted to keep my hair long AND NOT CHOP IT TO MY SHOULDERS. Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. It took a bit for the look to sync in and now I can’t look in the mirror without tearing up. I’m a MODEL OF 14 YEARS, I had to turn down two jobs! $1,200!!!!

Love this place! Great people, they do great work, and their close to my home. Would definitely recommend this place for box braids.

Huge thank you to Ariah! My daughter is Mixed; Native, Mexican and Black with extra thick, 3C hair. We have a hard time finding hairstylists in the 4 Corners area that can cut her hair. Ariah got us booked for an appointment and did exactly what my daughter wanted. She's been growing out her hair for 3 years and desperately needed a trim. We did have to cut off about 5 inches of split ends, but it looks healthier and it's even. We got a shampoo, conditioner, blow dry and cut. She also did a silk press at the end. She is VERY happy!

Very warming and friendly environment. This is the first time I've ever gone to a hair salon so I was already a little nervous to allow someone to have creative control over my hair but Sherrie was very professional and knowledgeable and helped me relax through the process. My hair has never looked so beautiful and I've gotten so many compliments from strangers....

I normally don’t leave reviews, but I woke up still mad about my hair. I specifically asked for small/medium knotless braids, even provided photos, and was told the Loice B could do them. What I received were box braids, and unfortunately, not even high-quality ones. To start, the stylist was 15 minutes late to my appointment. Not a professional way to start an 7 hour appointment, especially considering the end result. If she couldn’t do true knotless braids, she should have just said so or referred me to someone else. I wouldn’t have booked had I known. She used way too much gel, that left my scalp sticky and heavy, to the point that I had to wash my hair with the braids in as soon as I got home. The ends were also a mess—uneven, tangled, and matted. And I was burned by the hot water/steam, which added insult to injury. Maybe for Albuquerque, this is considered "quality work". But as someone from Texas, who’s had braids done by stylists in Houston and Dallas, this was a major letdown. The standard is just not the same, and I would not recommend this stylist especially if you’re used to a higher level of skill and professionalism.

Finally I found someone in ABQ to work my Locs. Sheree did an incredible job cleaning up my pandemic "locmess monster". It was a 6 hour marathon. What I observed was that every person left the salon very happy. It was a great day. I’ll be back!
