I checked out the Seafood City in the 'Terra Vista Town Center Square' (Foothill Blvd & Elm Ave, near Daiso). Plenty of parking available, which is a plus right off the bat. It’s definitely smaller than the Seafood City I remember growing up with, but it still has mostly everything you need, specializing heavily in Filipino and other Asian goods. The one major letdown? I needed a simple gallon of regular milk, and every single one on the shelf was expired! I literally had to double-check the dates. So much for getting my main item. Despite the milk issue, I do like that they stock so many traditional Filipino goodies, so I ended up stocking my pantry with treats instead, but I made sure to check on expiration dates (some did not even include one on its packaging). Pricing is standard for an Asian market; some great bargains, some higher prices. The service at my register was great, though. Shout out to 'Nelmie' who was friendly and efficient at the cashier. The register area gets super cramped when it's busy because there isn't much space behind the checkout area. The best part of the store might actually be the entrance. There's a whole food court with Jollibee, Grill City, Pinoy Street Food, and Red Ribbon Bakeshop, which gives the whole place a really lively atmosphere. Overall, it was just an okay shopping experience for me this time around. I really hope they sort out their fresh milk inventory soon.
I wasn’t expecting much, but I absolutely loved this place! It is very clean and the fish was beautiful. I couldn’t even smell the fish!! There were no weird or strange smells at all for a seafood market. I will definitely return soon. 😊
We were really excited to try Filipino food but it was really disappointing and overpriced. I don't understand why I have to pay 9 dollars for 1 small chicken skewer. The Squid we got was also very cold and undercooked. I dont even know if its safe to eat. The people serving the food were not able to answer our questions about the food too. They did not have labels on any of the food. The lady serving us was looking at her smart watch the whole time we were asking about the food. This was a terrible experience for me.
It’s like eating all my favorite foods from the mother land… sometimes it’s hard to find some good Filipino food… my hubby loves the meat skewers! The halo halo was so delicious, it was definitely an overload!!
Nice market with restaurants inside. They will fry fish for you right there. A huge selection of filipino food. Staff is respectful and helpful. Market is clean and well organized. For the wages of sin is death but the free gift of GOD is eternal life in Christ JESUS our Lord
Seafood City Supermarket in Rancho Cucamonga is my ‘go to’ when I need to find ingredients that my local Asian markets don’t have in stock. Seafood City is a Filipino grocery store with locations all throughout California and some parts of Las Vegas, NV. They also have a location in these cities: Chicago, IL; Tukwila, WA; and Waipahu, HI. Inside the marketplace, you’ll find: Jollibee, a boba shop, Grill City, Red Ribbon Bakeshop, and Valerio’s Tropical Bakeshop. It’s like the Filipino version of Mitsuwa Marketplace (Japanese market + shops) in Costa Mesa. Like any typical grocery store, they carry produce, seafood, meats, liquor, dry and canned goods, frozen foods, snacks and candies, and much more. The items I shop for are mainly ingredients I need for cooking, such as coconut milk, kalabasa (Kabocha squash), sitaw (Chinese long beans), and other items. Pro-Tip: Download their SFC+ ("Ess Epp See Plus") app to earn and use "Suki" points with your QR code. I believe the app gives you $5 off the first time you use the app/QR code (not sure if there’s a minimum purchase). Also, I enjoy the classic OPM (Original Pilipinas Music) songs that they play and I’ve found myself to use SoundHound to help me search the song. You may have caught me dancing in the aisles on the CCTV while shopping here, hehe. Overall, lots of items to choose from. Sometimes their products are stocked in a different place than where it was on a prior visit so you really do have to search (example: banana chips). I’ve always had really nice workers help me here. And I will 90% of the time find what I need.
Not a regular Asian market. Everything is so fresh. Yes! This Asian store is a Jewel. For a great selection of Asian spices, sauce, noodle, drinks, vegetables, fruits, canned and packed foods, grocery, grain & rice, meat and fishes and more. They have different cut meat ready & fresh packed. Which perfect for Asian or non-Asian dishes. Their Tilapia fish is super tasty and I find it different from other Asian stores/markets. They have both uncut and cut & washed fish ready. For Shrimps they have 4 pound boxes. Which is very convenient. Also they have a fish cutting & fry station. Even though Most of the workers doesn’t know which product is where in case you are looking for a particular item. But, they all are super friendly. The place is very neat & clean. Even the restrooms are very clean. Also they have a bakery, pastry, grill and fried station and even a saloon. One of the best Asian markets on my list. Worth the drive if you live within 40 mile range.
