We shop at Anand Bazaar regularly since it’s close to Oyster Point and easy to fit into errands. Usually grab basmati rice, atta, masoor dal, spices, and frozen parathas for the week. Everything we need in one stop. Store feels family friendly and calm, not hectic like some places around City Center at Oyster Point. Parking is easy, staff is polite, and checkout is quick. Convenient if you’re coming from Denbigh or in Chesapeake. Solid neighborhood grocery.

ANAND BAZAAR international grocery is the best place for fresh produce. I’m lucky to find that place . I found everything easy in store.. Turkish brands deserts and a lot of good stuff there. Fruits are always fresh Highly recommend.

I enjoyed shopping in Anand Bazaar. It reminded me of the international grocery store I used to visit back in my previous city. The refrigerated noodles caught my eye, so I picked some up along with a few other ingredients and made lo mein using my mom’s recipe. My family really enjoyed it. Next time, I’ll choose a thinner noodle since the one I bought was a bit too thick for our liking. Still, it was a good experience, and I’ll definitely be back again.

I came here to buy halal lamb and the price was very reasonable. While shopping, I also noticed they have huge collection of international grocery and herbal medicine, which was a nice surprise. The gentlemen in the store was very friendly, helpful and even explained the best time to come for the fresh meat. I really appreciate that. I found Anand Bazaar on google, The store was clean, well organised and checkout was quick. I also picked up some natural tea and snacks. I will definitely visit again, it’s a great place for halal groceries and speciality items.

I’ve been hitting Anand Bazaar pretty regularly now. It’s close to Oyster Point, so it’s an easy stop after work instead of running all over Newport News. Went in today just to grab halal meat, atta and some dal, but you know how it goes—ended up with frozen parathas and a couple extra spice packs I didn’t plan on. The vibe feels very neighborhood-style. You’ll hear different languages, people asking where stuff is, someone debating rice brands in the aisle. It’s not flashy, but it feels real. Honestly easier than trying your luck around City Center at Oyster Point, where half the time things are gone. Staff is chill—no pressure, but helpful when you ask. Parking’s easy, in and out, no stress. If you’re coming from Denbigh or even Yorktown, it’s worth the stop instead of bouncing between stores. Not perfect, but solid, and that’s why I keep coming back.

Beware of the bait and switch. They display a price for items they sell but when you go to checkout, they will charge you a higher price. I also understand the language they speak. The lady in front of me had the same problem. And one cashier said to another, it's okay to charge $1-$2 more than what the item is, no one cares. The cashier sounded like the owner.
