I used to live in China and I miss Chinese food! I’m so happy to have found this place. Hardworking, friendly staff. There is a wide selection of gluten free flour and noodles (I love noodles), as well as Asian cooking essentials and condiments. Don’t forget to check out the basement, where they sell fresh vegetables for Asian cooking, fish and meat! Fresh fish comes in every Thursday so be sure to call then pop by for the freshest seafood! You get to pick the fish you want and the staff will gut and clean it for you. Tofu, rice noodles, frozen dumplings, etc.The broccoli florets can be as cheap as $0.99 per bag and it is so fresh and good! I also bought a super duper sharp knife here. The best part - key duplicate service for only $2.50, car key $7.00, and the duplicated key actually works! (I have duplicated about 5 keys, all usable). The store offers free boxes to bag your grocery. The boss even offer to help carry to the car for me sometimes. So happy I found this place. We bought a bunch of ingredients to make hot pot today. Yum!

They have good products but be very careful at the counter as they might charge you extra if you are not careful!! This happened twice already with me. The first time, I noticed it after coming back home and saw 3 additional items has been charged to me totaling $19 extra. Such a FRUAD!! The second time, I only had 3 items and they were $11, and after billing, the middle aged lady at the counter said its $28 and when I said that’s not possible, she checked and said "ohh the previous person’s bill was $17 and it also got added", and didn’t even apologize, and she then manually edited the receipt with a pencil. When I asked for a new receipt with the correct amount, she behaved rudely and it was like I made the biggest mistake asking for the correct receipt. I almost got SCAMMED this time as well! Management should pay attention to this SCAM!! If I had not noticed it, I would have been charged for things I didn’t add to my cart!

We waited a long time to have our fish cleaned and weighed. This was our first time here, and we didn’t know how things worked. We asked for guidance and tried to follow the instructions, but we were somewhat scolded for using nylon bags before cleaning. We also asked two different staff members twice about finding someone to weigh and clean the fish so we could pay for them. I might give this place another chance, just in case it was a one-time issue, but overall, I'm not very satisfied with my experience.

Great bean sprouts, like really good quality bean sprouts. The squid is decent and a good price as well. Their vegetables are super fresh too. They have pho noodles and udon. Just a really good small shop to get Asian goods

This store offers an excellent selection of Asian food, spices, vegetables, meats, and fresh fish. They also provide a key copying service at reasonable prices. It's my go-to destination in the area for fresh fish. Additionally, they have a great variety of Asian noodles, sauces, and spices. I often visit for fresh vegetables, including leafy greens and seasonal fruits, as well as frozen dumplings. The staff is friendly and provides good customer service.

Checkout the downstairs! Fresh seafood and produce! Super affordable groceries in downtown New Haven! For example the limes are 3 for $1.00 here versus over a dollar each at other places. Rice and other staples are an extremely good value here. And yes I did buy an entire bag of fortune cookies, like 50 for $1.00. They were great as a giveaway at a conference. Employees are very friendly and helpful. So glad to have this grocery store in New Haven.
