Came here to pick up three kinds of salsa for our Super Bowl party… and clearly that plan did not work. I was pleasantly surprised to find several empty parking spots, coming earlier definitely helps. And let’s be real, there’s no way you can come here just for salsa. I ended up grabbing two kinds of ceviche, some delicious tamales, and then somehow kept discovering more things I "needed." Lol. This place is seriously the Costco of Northgate. They have everything. From prepared foods to fresh items, it’s easy to lose track of time because every section pulls you in. On top of that, every staff member I encountered was friendly, helpful, always a great vibe! And don’t even get me started on the fresh churros, and their agua fresca section? Come on. If you haven’t been to Mercado Gonzalez Northgate, you’re seriously missing out. This place is an experience, not just a grocery run!

Perhaps the largest and cleanest Northgate I’ve ever seen. It’s a relatively new location that offers more than just groceries. There’s kitchen supplies, freshly made food and even chocolate. YUM! They have a food court where I got their tamale combo. So this isn’t just another Northgate Market. It’s where you’ll be met with customer satisfaction and a lively environment.

The best experience at this dope market. It’s not like you’re at a regular market but a variety of food spots. This is a great place to come with a group of people. So many places to try and it’s so cool to share and try a little of everything. Meanwhile you can go grocery shopping. It’s huge and they have a big seating area. It’s very clean and organized. The people were so friendly and service was fast. Not too much of a wait time for your food. I highly recommend eating a carnitas mulita. Wishes we had one near our house but this is a cool spot. They even have live entertainment at night on the weekends.

As soon as I entered the Mercado, I was taken back by the festive & colorful murals, the music and the smell of all kinds of Mexican food. I spent several hours walking around, because there is so much to see. In addition to the aisles and shelves of packaged food, there are fresh imported veggies, fruits, meats, breads, candies, beverages and much more. There are also numerous eateries and a bar within the Mercado. I was hungry, but, it was difficult to decide what to eat. So, I purchased fresh 'hot' tortillas, salsa, queso & tamales and flan for home. I ordered a torta and a tall cup of horchata and sat in the dining area and did some people watching. As expected, my meal was delicious. Visiting the Mercado turned out to be a delightful experience. I will return!!!

I would definitely come back to this place! Not just for groceries, but to enjoy a delicious, authentic Mexican meal. They have so many amazing food options that you’ll wish you had an extra stomach to try them all; from tamales, tacos, burritos, birria, and pozole to churros, atole, cakes, and fresh fruit! Everything is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the place is always clean and well organized. There’s also a nice bar, a great outdoor patio with heaters and TVs, a DJ, and an overall fabulous atmosphere.

This is a great Hispanic shopping center, much more than the average. Inside they have shops within shops, huge place. We went there on the Dia de Lis Muertes, Day of the Dead. So there were more decorations for the event. Inside there's shops to get fresh meats, sausages, chorizo.. freshly made tortillas, both flour and corn. We loved the regular flour, had a huge 18" ones, so good. The green corn one was one of the best corn tortillas I've had. W usually take a packet home to eat. There's also small restaurats in there to order authentic foods, carne asada, tamales, etc. Didn't try them but smelled good. We went there for the ceviche shop. This place is so good, from the scallops (which they ran out this time), spicy shrimp, aguachile, fish, octopus, etc... each set comes with a small baked tostado or tortilla packet to eat with. We usually eat there, since there's a counter area to eat next to shop. There's also a churros place that has amazing churros. Also, a normal store to get fruits, veggies, normal items too make meals... and house wares, cups, dishes, and gifts. They had also normally have alebrijes there, as well, but more for the Day of the Dead. I know there's smaller shops that have amazing foods, etc., but this is a great one-stop place and to grab some Hispanic foods. Note: not all Northgate are the same, this is definitely one of the biggest ones, some other locations are smaller.

I love the market! Fresh fruits and vegetables, delicious, authentic Mexican meals and more! This is pozole rojo and so delicious! We always get the freshly made tortillas. You can watch them being made right on site.
