Love their specialty food items. I came by with family and got some tea and snacks. This is a cute shop with amazing staff. Finally I tried the Red Guava Jam, and it’s so good, the flavor and texture is unlike the traditional fruit jams. And my favorite Milk Oolong tea.

We just received our 6-cup Tatung this week after being enamoured by Yun Hai's Cooking With Steam cooking show, and it has been an absolute life-changer. We've already made Bao, four different types of dumplings, and a pot of the most perfect rice we've ever made at home. Thank you, Yun Hai Shop and Lisa Cheng Smith, for facilitating the integration of this wonderful piece of Taiwanese culture into our home kitchen. It is an honour and a privilege to own this beautiful appliance!! Can't wait to make congee next.

We were so excited to hear Yun Hai opened their shop physically in East Williamsburg, so we visited on the first day. The decor is simple, cozy and authentic, which brought me back to my childhood. Their product lineup is more various than their online store, so we felt satisfied and enjoyable. We got a box of Pineapple Cake, Rice Wine and Ga Ji Dai as a birthday gift for our friend. It’s a little pricey but totally worth it since my friend loves it so much and it’s really special.

This shop is a delight, not just a grocery. I have no tradition of cooking Asian food but now I am comfortable making favorite dishes. In addition to carefully curated products, come here for advice, recipes, and encouragement. It’s a happy place.

Soooo happy this shop is open at last! Full of delicious Taiwanese ingredients and some of our favorite dishes all the way from Mama Liang’s in California are available frozen here (the beef noodle soup is remarkable…). And just lots of beautiful little items to slowly peruse though. Yun Hai shop is definitely gonna be a regular staple from here on out!

A beautiful and nostalgic "Taiwanese general store" offering an impressive assortment of hard-to-find pantry items and snacks. You will discover oils, sauces, dried fruits, beverages, teas, frozen products, small houseware items, and more!!! Everything is small batched, representative of the producers, and sourced after multiple rounds of selection. All of it showcases the elevated experiences that Taiwan has to offer. There are store-specific goodies, but most items are also offered online. Don’t miss Win Son Restaurant and Win Son Bakery - both 1 minute walk away.
