Customer Reviews
FOOD BAZAAR has a rating of 4.4 out of 5 based on over 7877 reviews on Google
Food Bazaar is a supermarket that demands tolerance and patience, offering a love-it-or-hate-it experience. While it gets points for variety, particularly for international and specialty items, the overall shopping experience is marred by significant operational shortcomings. The produce selection is hit or miss, with freshness varying wildly depending on the day and location. But the real issue is the store itself - chaotic, cluttered aisles and haphazard shelving make navigation a chore. Finding prices is a guessing game, and pricing inconsistencies border on exploitative. Some items are decently priced, while others are overpriced without justification. Checkout is a gamble, with wait times unpredictable and often longer than they should be. Staff interactions range from indifferent to invisible, offering little help when needed. Ultimately, Food Bazaar feels like a necessary evil, best suited for desperate situations or one-off ingredient grabs. Even then, the questionable quality and high prices make it a last resort, not a go-to destination. One star off for trying harder.
I was afraid the miss at the check-out would start the usual "love your haircut" or "how are you today?" jazz we fear so much back in Europe, but this is a latino-run grocery store, and the miss turned out to be unwilling to reply my HI, not even lifting her head to look at me on 3 times I shopped here. What a relief 😍!! The store has an interesting fruit and veggies section.
I am writing as a regular customer of the store to formally express my concern regarding an incident I witnessed during a recent visit. I observed a woman, who appeared to be new to the location, speaking to employees in a disrespectful and inappropriate manner, openly and in front of customers. This type of behavior is unacceptable and does not reflect the standards of professionalism that customers expect from your establishment. What made the situation more concerning is that this occurred just one day after a storm, a time when employees are often under additional pressure and making extra efforts to fulfill their responsibilities. Regardless of circumstances, staff members deserve to be treated with dignity and respect at all times. I am bringing this matter to your attention because I value this store and believe it is important to maintain a respectful and positive work environment for both employees and customers.
I always shop here, my parents even started shopping here faithfully. Sometimes we don’t know where an item is but the associates and cashiers always get us what we’re looking for. I’ve been shopping here for YEARS and I mostly cash out at the register with Stephanie. She always so welcoming and kind making sure I got everything I was looking for. She’s amazing!! I remember going there on her day off and was so disappointed that I missed her! Her personality was made for greeting guests and making this supermarket feel like home. 10/10 my fruits and veggies are always fresh and doesn’t spoil the next day.
I have been in this neighborhood all my life!! My mother was even the bookkeeper when it was called Big R. The deli department is a very important part of a supermarket, but right now it has a much of young guys that look like they don’t want to work and don’t know how to cut the deli meat right. I asked for very thin ham and I get thick!! You have to know what you doing or get better training.
I enjoy Food Bazaar very much but I don’t like customer service there. "Chismes" shouldn’t be allowed and there should be more respect to one another. The prices are getting higher and higher. They need to do better with the prices. Remember we are you customers.
Nice supermarket but there are no real boses. And the ones in charge are all only in favor of their own buddies. The owner should pass by and start sweeping away those who act like boses and don't even know where they're standing. That is so sad. Also these prices are only going up. I'll give it 5 stars only because I love Food Bazaar. But other than that, you need to put workers in charge with hearts and not ones who don't care.
