NetCost Market

On Friday evening, October 3rd, I specifically traveled all the way from Upper Manhattan to Brooklyn to shop at NetCost Market near the Neck Road subway station, just to buy our usual products. It was a fairly large purchase, so I didn’t open everything right away when I got home. Two days later, I opened a package of sausages that I had bought in the same store — they were kept sealed in the refrigerator the whole time. As soon as I opened them, I realized they had a terrible smell. Some were covered in a strange slime, and as you can see in the video, the sausages inside the same package even have different colors — some are darker, some lighter. Of course, I’m not going to travel back to the store just to return them — it takes about two hours one way, which makes no sense. But I will definitely never shop in this store again, and I strongly do not recommend it to anyone, because their products are often of questionable freshness and quality.

NetCost Market is one of the best places to shop if you want both quality and variety, with fresh produce, meats, seafood, drinks, dried goods, and even ready-to-eat meals like hot dishes and soups that are tasty and convenient. I also love the bakery and deli sections where you can always find fresh bread, pastries, cheeses, and cured meats. The store is big but well organized and clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful, which makes shopping here enjoyable. The only downside is that the checkout lines can get quite busy, especially during peak hours, but overall the experience is very positive and this has become my go-to place for almost all of my groceries.

Amazing customer service at checkout - no Hi, no Thank you, and cashiers act like scanning my items is a huge favor. Bags? I should guess and ask myself. Yesterday cashier just hand me the bag like, Here you go, packing is your job. Too unfriendly customer service.

I do not recommend this store. The prices are high, and the products are not fresh. The service is unpleasant, both at the checkout and at the deli counter. They pretend not to see you, talk among themselves during working hours, while you stand and wait for them to finish discussing their personal matters.

I bought smoked semga from this NetCost location and got severe food poisoning the same day — fever, stomach pain, nausea, and hours of diarrhea, which tells me the product was already spoiled or improperly stored. This is completely unacceptable for a store that sells "premium" products. I will be filing an official complaint with NYC 311 and the Health Department. Customers deserve safe food, not a hospital trip.

Seriously this is the bread I found looks like someone poked or maybe a mouse chewed through the bread I don't think Im gonna to be giving this store a chance
