Disappointed with my first visit today at the Murrieta location. I was referred here by my insurance as my previous doctor is no longer a provider. Saw a PA. Very impersonal. Barely said hello, did not introduce himself, hardly made eye contact. Literally spent 5 minutes with me and pushed back on treatment I've been receiving from my previous dermatologist that has almost completely cleared up my psoriasis. After waiting a few months for an appointment, it was quite disappointing. Not sure if I'll be back.
My original appointment was set for the Ventura office, however their building was experiencing some sort of IT issues that morning. To remedy this issue they temporarily relocated to an office space in Oxnard for the day which allowed my appointment to go on as scheduled. I truly appreciated this adjustment they made as not to have to cancel and reschedule. I feel this action that was taken is very telling of the priority and concern that they have for their patients. Elida, as she introduced herself, is very kind and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain her conclusion of my skin lesion and helped me understand what to watch for in the future. I came away feeling cared for and confident that I was in good hands.
I love the office and doctors but the scheduling service they use is the worst! If you call to make an appointment they can't schedule right then and there. They have to check insurance verification and call you back at a time I may or may not be available so there is a lot of back and forth just to get an appointment. They really need to fix this. Then I would give them a 5 star.
I was referred to CDI by my doctor for some skin issues. The reception staff were very helpful and I saw Elida Gonzales PA-C for a surgical procedure. Elida was thorough and reviewed my skin problems; she was very careful treating my skin growths with the liquid nitrogen and did a great job in sterilizing and numbing a cyst before removing it. Overall it was a great experience and I recommend CDI for your dermatology needs.
I felt the documents I signed were a bit much and tiring and could find an easier way to gather the protection for your institution. I did not receive the shampoo I was told I would and the treatments were kind of scary being sprayed all over my face before I was aware of it. Could have explained more of the treatment before treatment and after treatment to clean my ear as I cant see it so have to find some one to clean my ear.
I had a procedure, a Moh procedure to a carcinoma next to my nose, left side. Two days later my left side of my face was swollen, my left eye was swollen shut, my mouth and upper lip was so swollen it was hard to eat. My nose was twice the normal size, I was having nosebleed for the first time in my life, this after so much pressure was put on my nose and the left side of my face- to prevent bleeding, I was told! There was so much pressure put on my nose and my upper teeth I was worried they would break. All this with excruciating pain in both my eye and nose. Called the numbers in vain, nothing could be done- ‘normal for that procedure’! I still have a large blister both under and above my eye. I’m never going back to this office, can definitely NOT recommend anyone to go there. I should have got a clue when I saw the waiting room, papers on the floor, two overflowing trashcans. The exam rooms seemed clean, though. There are several dermatologists in the area, I’m sure the must be better.
Diego Chase knew immediately what the skin issues were, said they were common and benign, then offered to freeze them without delay if I wanted. Absolutely I did. He treated several spots on my face, explained the process, gave me printed instructions for follow up, and we were done in 6 minutes. Best med appointment ever.
