VA Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center - Centerbrooke

The Dr, I believe her name is Ann is the GOAT. I will never go to another Dr for my skin issues. She knows her stuff. I was called within 5 minutes of my appointment to come to the back, which is unheard of in a Doctors office. Ive gone to many other dermatologists and was extremely disappointed, but she gave me hope again in my skin issues. I recommend her to EVERYONE. She is straight forward, her treatment strategy is effective and she is super nice and funny. Everyone go to her! Her and her staff make it the best experience ever. My husband was so impressed, he even wanted to go for his skin issues.

I had an appointment scheduled for 1:15 PM. I work overnight and originally planned to reschedule, but after speaking with someone at the call center, I was informed the next available appointment was not until 2/22 (the end of next month). Because of that, I specifically asked about the late grace period and was told it was 15 minutes. At 12:50 PM, I confirmed I had enough time to arrive since I live about 20 minutes away. I arrived at the office at 1:29 PM, which was within the stated grace period. There was only one person at the front desk, and another staff member came out and informed me I was "late by one minute" and refused to check me in. The interaction was unprofessional and dismissive, and the situation could have been handled with more courtesy and flexibility. Additionally, during my first appointment, the provider stated she does not prescribe medications for skincare, which was disappointing and not what I expected from a dermatology practice. Now, because of this situation, I am forced to wait until 2/22 for another appointment. Overall, this experience lacked professionalism and patient-centered care. I will be seeking dermatology services elsewhere and would not recommend this office based on my experience.

Tried scheduling an appointment but was turned away because of the type of issue I’m facing - it’s a scalp issue that is very common and treated by most dermatologist. Not sure why they are so specific about who they are willing see.

Oh I will be back. From the front and to the back. Extremely Wonderful that's what all Doctors And the NP, Nurse's, and Techs to checking in take note, I have not been to any where like this. Love you all But GOD Loves you a whole lot more ,. ❤️

Suffolk VA location- Lots of good reviews on here however I do want to warn new patients.... I called weeks ago to schedule appointments for both myself and my daughter. I was scheduled with a provider and sent loads of paperwork and multiple reminders about the upcoming appointment. None mentioned that some providers do not see children. I proceeded to take time off from work to attend the appointment, and was advised upon check in – and only at check in – that's a provider does not see children under age 12. Sidenote – my daughter is 11 years, 7 and months. While I understand that providers may have age requirement – it was so disappointing, a waste of my time, and in this case money, to show up for an appointment, where she could not be seen. The person at the front desk was professional and apologetic however, it does not change the fact that this oversight should absolutely be addressed before a patient is scheduled and confirmed.

My biopsy went very quickly and efficiently. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

This place is the epitome of how a practice should be run. I was able to get an appointment in a timely manner, the office is beautiful, and the front desk staff are amazing. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, even though another patient was being helped. The check-in process is very simple with the ipad you are given, AND they are cleaned immediately when you return them. I had a cyst removed by Dr Brad Johnson and his lovely nurse. They are both awesome. Very professional, nice, and understanding. They explained step by step everything that was being done and made sure i was comfortable through the whole procedure. I can't say enough great things about this place. So refreshing to see providers that love what they do.
