Normally, I have a great experience at South Bend clinic this time I went through the urgent care or walk-in and I met with a Dr. Clark. It was not a good experience. I did not have follow up by him when I asked for a phone call at roughly 11:30 in the morning he called me back at roughly 9:30 PM. He was out of the office that day by noon according to his staff so I did not have a lot of faith in him as a professional calling me at 9:30 at night when I requested a phone call at 11 AM. I did follow his advice and go to the emergency room the following morning the emergency room at memorial reached out to him multiple times, he failed to respond so they called a one last time and reached out to him. He responded with. I am not on call today therefore I will not comment on this patient when I followed his advice and went to the emergency room so I chose to not go with him. I went to Beacon for my care going forward. I would not recommend him to anyone. I would also not recommend the walk-in. That’s my personal opinion. Respectfully, I’m sure other people have gone and have had great results. I personally have not. I do have other doctors at Southbank clinic. That are absolutely amazing and I will continue to see them.

We see Dr. Brier and we absolutely love him! Our son is always so happy to see him. He always makes sure to listen to all of our concerns and has been able to see us for same day appointments for when our son was not feeling well. We highly recommend him!

I am so glad I was able to see Dr. Kline for the first time, the next day after I called. I was very impressed with his expertise. He correctly assessed my critical situation and sent me to get an MRI for confirmation. He did the surgery the next day and kept the bone infection from spreading.

I wanted to share feedback regarding my visit to your clinic lab today. I’ve always been a difficult stick when it comes to blood draws—this has been true for many years. I typically don’t mention it to staff ahead of time because I don’t want to make anyone nervous or add pressure. I fully understand that multiple sticks or multiple people may be needed to obtain a sample, and I’ve always been patient with that process. During my visit today, I was stuck three times by two different staff members and still was not a successfully drawn. While I understand that these things happen, my concern is with the lack of empathy and communication during the process. Neither staff member apologized for the multiple attempts or for the discomfort, and I left feeling as though they were frustrated with me for not wanting them to continue "digging" for a vein after an unsuccessful stick. As an RN with over 20 years of experience, I understand the learning process and that venipuncture can be challenging. What’s important, however, is how we communicate and show empathy to patients—especially when procedures don’t go smoothly. After the first phlebotomist attempted twice, I had to ask if someone else could try. Her response of "plenty" came across as dismissive, rather than reassuring. Offering assistance from another staff member should have been presented proactively, not reluctantly. My intention in sharing this is not to complain, but to offer feedback that may help strengthen the patient experience. A simple apology or acknowledgment can make a big difference, especially for patients who already find blood draws difficult. Thank you for your time and understanding.

This has been just a horrible start to the year. I have had more health issues than I have in a long time. The people at South Bend Clinic have been fantastic to me with my care. I am not out of the woods yet but I know the Dr’s and staff will take great care of me and help me get better.

Dr Rice is always wonderful. We don’t feel rushed, he’s thorough, and answers all our questions. We have been very happy with him the past 16 years!

Dr.Statz is my Orthopedic Specialist. I was loosing hope of finding a Dr. that would agree to fix my hip after complications from 1rst surgery on my hip from an auto accident. After many from Lakeshore Bone and Joint that only kept referring me to another an another Orthopedic Specialist that did mainly Hip surgery’s and everytime I left their office with nothing accomplished.Dr. Fielder was my first choice before all the others I just mentioned but due to my insurance he was in network but where he does his surgery’s was out of network. He seen me and right away referred me to Dr. Joseph Statz who gave me hope. My hip replacement wasn’t ordinary, very complex due to the Trauma. It took 3 surgery’s never giving up on me and I can say after 2 yrs of walking alittle and I thought I was getting better but everytime my hip just wasn’t functioning properly. Walk then declining to barely able to care for myself and then I couldn’t do for myself. Dr. Statz was my last HOPE of ever being able to walk again after 2 years of struggle. I can never tell him how much I am greatful and blessed to have met him let alone him giving back my quality of life! My last surgery was Aug. 28,2025 I’m not all the way back to walking on my own without devices but I know I will get there. Now I can actually see me walking with my grandchildren, the very Joy’s of my life. I owe it all to Dr. Joseph Statz who is more than an Excellent Physcian and Surgeon, He’s a good Father, Husband and All around good Human being. No I haven’t met his family, just the way he talks about his children says it all. Very Blessed
