Dermatology: Mountain View Center: Palo Alto Medical Foundation

This department is miserable, bureaucratic, and so inefficient. I waited three months for the first appt. At the visit, the doctor told me I need to wait another three months for the surgical procedure given the scheduling availability. I gave up hope with them and tried the California Skin Institute. I am able to get my appt in two weeks, and the doctor there performed the surgical procedure at my first visit in 10 minutes. What's going on?!

Horrible scheduling practices. Completely ignore and disallow responses via in-app messaging and context provided to schedule FIRST AVAILABLE appointment. They don’t give a crap, just keep sending a canned response telling you to call after specifically TELLING THEM I CANNOT CALL during their hours, please SCHEDULE BASED ON INSTRUCTIONS. Virginia S is the ignorant responder of the multiple scheduling requests. Will not bother with these people, ugh.

I don't know how the doctors are because I could not get to them. The receptionist was not helpful at all. I asked for a walk-in urgent on call appointment due to burning/stinging/itching rash that have developed and are spreading. She was not interested in my symptoms at all and did not offer to send me to triage nurse for evaluation to see maybe an on-call appointment is warranted. She just told me in her low energy, non-interested voice that the first available appointment would be in December. Or I should just go to urgent care. I did not need her to tell me that.

Hah-like the other reviewer said, I could not get to them. Front desk don’t want to help get your kid care with their dermatologists and rather would like to reserve their 6 month out spots for others and want to follow the book rather than care about your situation. Wish I didn’t have to put so much energy into getting good healthcare options for my kids.
