UW Health Eastpark Medical Center

I had some labs done at the new UW Eastpark Medical Center. I had no trouble finding a parking space in the lot. I was able to find the lab on the first floor (it looks like a hotel lobby) and check in. I like that the lab opens at 7:00 am and I was able to schedule an appointment for 7:45 am the day before. Also, the lab is open Saturday morning which is handy. The lab work started on time, and I was very pleased with my procedure. Bonus it is closer to my home.

Had an MRI this past summer, & was very displeased with their service. The year before my MRI was performed down the road at the Eastside Hospital, & that one is much more patient friendly. Referencing the fit doesn't seem as tight, & there was an overall more comfortable feeling. At the new medical center, I became very hot, & had to stall procedures. It appears that the MRI experience has gone backwards here, & made the whole ordeal miserable for me!

I have been going here for my Infusions and they are always so nice at this location, today Nurse Caitlin did my infusion and she was so very pleasant it made my day. I am so happy this Hospital and Clinic opened here.

The Infusion Center is not a patient-centric design, rather what looks like a converted office space with a set of open cubicles. While the medical staff and level of care are excellent, the expectation for the design & layout is to match the level of comfort, privacy, dignity, and compassion that all patients deserve. This would improve the overall patient experience that the new Center promised. For now it’s cold and clinical, hence a major disappointment.

First time there for a CT yesterday, been doing everything at the legacy hospital and clinics. Almost eight years out from a stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis. Biggest problem is Google gives the address of the hospital and clinic up the road. GPS took me to the wrong place.

A big thank you to Heidi G, my Occupational Therapist at the UW Health Eastpark Medical Center. She has been so helpful in getting me on my way to healing and feeling better. I am so grateful for her kindness and all that she has taught me. She is so knowledgeable and is hands-on. Thank you, Heidi!

After reading some of the negative reviews, I just wanted to share our experience today. First of all, there was plenty of parking in the covered lot at 2:20 PM on a Wednesday--which was a busy day in the department we had to go to. We gave ourselves plenty of time for a 3 PM appointment. We had no trouble locating the check-n kiosk and easily found out where we needed to go. They had paper and pen there so you could circle whether you needed the North or South elevators, the floor number and the section. After navigating the main UW Hospital for several health issues over the past 4 years, this seemed surprisingly simply. We did have a half hour wait as they were unusually busy that day, but once in, the procedure went quickly and efficiently. Bailey in Urology was friendly and knowledgable and Dr. Richards is the best! We felt we were in good hands and being in a totally new environment was much less intimidating than we had anticipated. We'll be coming back and now we know exactly what to expect. Thank you!
