If you need to get into a dermatologist fairly quickly Dr. Evans is straight to the point and helped my daughter with her eczema, and for that I'm grateful. However, he is gruff and can come across rude. I left that office with so much mom guilt that I didn't get my 6 month old daughter in sooner because of things he said, and I wish he would have been kinder to a mom who's already hard on herself. Their office staff has been good. The nurses are nice and we also really like Tim Morgan, the physician's assistant! Haven't had a problem with rescheduling, yet.
This review applies only to Dr. Evans. I was a patient at this facility for almost 3 years prior to my last visit. At that visit, I saw Dr. Evans for the first time, since my regular practitioner had left this practice. Dr. Evans was so rude, dismissive and unprofessional during this visit that I chose not to return to this facility. Each year I would make, and confirm, an appointment for a skin check and any follow up visit that was needed in addition to the skin check. Each year when I would arrive for my scheduled appointment, the skin check would not be listed. This became very frustrating. At my last visit, once again the confirmed appointment for the skin check was not listed. But the other part of my visit was for a follow up regarding medication that had been prescribed by my previous provider. Once in the examination room, the assistant asked me numerous unrelated questions, but was unable to answer any straightforward questions that I asked regarding the prescribed medication, even though this information was obviously in my records, Again, this was very frustrating. The assistant left and returned with Dr. Evans, who stood in the doorway and wanted to know why I was so "hostile." Dr. Evans then entered the room and repeatedly laughed at my questions and continued to call me "hostile." I tried asking him the same straightforward questions and he could not answer them. His reply was "I can’t read every chart." While I might agree with this statement, it appears that as a professional Dr. Evans would have at least reviewed the records from my last visit before he came into the examination room. Apparently, Dr. Evans took my frustration at having to ask a straightforward question at least five times without receiving an answer as being "hostile." His continued laughter during this time, as well as his rude and dismissive tone, made my decision to leave this practice an obvious one. I later requested a full copy of my records. Upon a review of those records, there were numerous factual inaccuracies in the records from the visit with Dr. Evans. I requested that he correct these inaccuracies, but he refused to do so.
The office staff, medical staff, and dr Evans were professional and knowledgeable. Despite having numerous customers my appointment went smoothly. Dr Evan’s fielded any questions that I had.
My visit went well. Everybody is polite and professional. I am satisfied with my care. The only complaint I have is that there is not enough parking available. I had to park across the street or be late for my appointment. This was not a first time occurrence. It consistently happens. More parking space can be added in the rear of the building. Something has to be done!
Horrible experience. Do not recommend. My appointments usually take 5-10 minutes and it was a rainy day, traffic was very slow and busy and it made me 15 minutes late to my appointment. I sat for over an hour and they still couldn’t give me even an estimated guess of how long I’d be waiting. I have psoriasis and I needed this appointment to get my medicine and 2 rounds of new people came in and went back without any signs of progress towards me going back. Disgusted at my experience today and they made me pay $75 for leaving as if they are the only ones being inconvenienced today. Never coming back to this place ever again.
I typically see nurse practitioner, Timothy Morgan. He has been great each time I've seen him. He listens to my concerns and takes the time to really consider them and come up with a treatment plan that takes my concerns into consideration. 10/10 would recommend.
Dr. John Evans is the real deal. Professional and caring and easy to talk to. My particular issue was skin cancer on my forearms. Everything about my experience was satisfying. His staff is top notch too. 10 of 10. Highly recommend!
