I have always had great positive experiences at NorthShore. If I can't get in to see my regular doctor, they give me a choice to see one of my doctor's associates. There were many times I was able to see a doctor the same day. Just a nice experience and very helpful and friendly pharmacy.
I was very nervous to find new healthcare and the nurse practitioner I saw was one of the best Ive seen. Not only did she make me feel comfortable but was very helpful, knowledgeable. She was informative and also listened to all of my concerns. I felt that she really cared about my needs. When someone loves their job it really shows. I will be recommending her to everyone. I simply cannot say how much this has made a difference in my life. I also returned for other services and the team that helped me were so supportive and so kind. The front desk, nursing staff and practitioners were all so wonderful Anna genuine. I highly recommend the Hammond office for their immaculate care.
My primary care doctor, dentist, podiatrist and chiropractor are all wonderful. Calling in trying to talk with someone isn't the easiest. Front desk needs help as well. Overall a great place to go for much of your healthcare needs. EDIT 2/13/26: I have sometimes had to wait to be called back...... A LITTLE. Today, AN HOUR AND 20 MINUTES, just to be called back, to wait in another room. And my appointment was 9:15 am. I realize this place is usually busy, but to wait over an hour to get called to another room to wait for an appointment pretty much first thing in the morning is a bit surprising. I am, however, always grateful for my doctors here, especially Dr Shah, AND the pharmacy staff, who are wonderful as well.
Went to get help with a swollen painful abcess and needed a tooth extraction. Unfortunately i dont have insurance and asked for a sliding fee scale. The first nurse that helped me seemed like she cared but all they decided to do is prescribe me antibiotics which is a good thing but then they put my extraction 4 months out. My antibiotics wont last that long so i dont understand why they wouldn't do something more. Also i had to pay a out 90 dollars for barely an exam when i told them i needed a sliding fee scale. Seems purposely that they push the extraction far out. Dentist also told me to try another dentist maybe if i want it out sooner. When did the healthcare system become so evil?
Wait was too long for an appointments. Staff was dry. Dr didnt even check anything(sat on computer and ask questions and type) I didn’t feel I got a check up at all. Blood test nurses was the only positive. They were attentive, happy and makes me feel welcome.
Very professional staff but hard to get a hold of someone on the phone at Hammond location. Maria and Mary at the front desk acknowledge you right away when you are waiting in line. Very clean facility
Everyone there is amazing and the I've only ever had problems with family care. I had to wait over an hour past my appointment time just to get a vaccine. They always take me in well after the time I'm supposed to show up. And when I saw the doctor he spent most of his time talking about how I need to lose weight.. Now a second time I told this guy I'm already scheduled for PT three times but he spent an hour writing me a referral. It's like they have to take EVERY other patient before they can bring you simple paperwork.
