Left the McKinney location maybe 30 minutes ago after the front office refused to allow me to see the provider because she stated my card was declined. I initially understood, so I decided to call my bank, who confirmed that the payment did in fact go through. Once I told the front office this, she stated that I could not be seen if I did not pay my copay and requested that I provide another card. Normally, I would just give another form of payment, but since my bank confirmed that the payment was accepted, I did not feel as though I should, so I was declined my visit today. Now I have to inconvenience myself by coming back to be seen in two days, since I’ll be at work and will have to leave work just to make the appointment. This is especially frustrating because the current medication I take has a certain timeframe allotted, or else I won’t be prescribed it. I would normally not write a review, but since this is now the third or fourth time I’ve had a negative experience, I felt the need to finally say something. I’ve had unprofessional and rude encounters with both the front office and the medical staff at the Frisco and McKinney locations. Ever since I started this new acne medication, every visit has had an issue—whether it’s rude medical assistants or medical assistants/medical staff not sending over the correct information to my pharmacy ( Which feels intentional), which then delays my ability to pick up my medication. This medication is time-sensitive, and if it’s not picked up within the correct timeframe, I have to completely start over. I’ve had to wait over an hour before being seen by the provider on multiple occasions, and when I was finally seen, it took all of five minutes. My only positive comment is that Dr. Mandy has not been rude to me during the brief timeframe I do see her. With every visit, something negative and inconvenient happens, and it’s very discouraging when all I want is to clear my acne.

The most useless Dermatology place where you'll get little to no help. The doctor told me my skin is easily bruised and broken on my legs because I take fish oil supplement, which I found to be ridiculous. She said she couldn't do anything about it without conducting ANY tests and finding the root cause. Then they charged me exrra in addition to my co-pay stating my condition entry code was "complex". Rip offs! AVOID THEM!

Dr. Mandy and her staff are great, very kind and knowledgeable, and I am very happy with the treatment I've received here. I would highly recommend her for any dermatology needs.

I loved the office of Warthan McKinney Dermatology. I am a Cosmetic Laser Educator and I trained Wendy on our Lutronic Genius Radiofrequency Microneedling device. Jennifer, Office Manager, was amazing and very kind. The office staff was friendly and inviting once I walked through the door! I highly recommend the office for Cosmetic Aesthetics!

I wish I had read the reviews prior to going but I was just so excited that they were now in my neighborhood and it would've been so convenient for me to get my skin looking/feeling better. At my initial visit, the staff was giddy to see that I had met my deductible, including Dr. Warthan, so I got several things looked at. Insurance paid them promptly but I was never called about results of a biopsy. I was supposed to have a follow up scheduled and somehow that was missed. When I called in to inquire about my results and what I was billed for, Amber said that I wasn't charged anything, that I didn't pay anything, that my insurance paid not me, as she said using a condescending tone. I guess she thinks insurance coverage is free. After some back and forth, disrespectful conversation with that lady, I asked to speak with someone else and was handed over to the practice manager, Jennifer, who quickly defended Amber but soon took a better approach of listening and trying to help, and she did. She apologized for the lack of follow up and for the experience I had with Amber. I also let her know that the spot that was supposed to be frozen/removed from my ear was still there only darker. She asked if I wanted to return for a second look, and I said no. To be fair, Jennifer was very helpful and more professional than the whole of persons I interacted with at this office, but if I can't have confidence in those treating me, then I'm sure as heck not going back. Hopefully others will read reviews before wasting their time. 🙁

Not the first time this happened to me. I was charged up front in full of my medicare deductable. I had met my deductable a month prior to this appointment. Front Desk desk said she check and said I didn't meet deductable. She charged my credit for my full deductable otherwise if I walked out I would have been charged $75 for a non48 jour cancelation notice. After I left I called medica and the man said go back and get your you money, you met your deductable and you should never pay upfront. It will be bill after medicare approves it. I only used them this 2nd time thinking they may have understood medicare better. I plane to go to a different dermatologist. I did get my refund .

Dr. Amir was AMAZING! I came with so many different issues, and she assessed every single one so thoroughly and effectively. She talked me through everything from the causes all the way to the solutions, and she was very understanding and easy to talk to. My sister and I are now her loyal patients! Couldn’t recommend her and her practice enough.
