Arrived 8 minutes late for a follow-up appointment 1/5. Denied the doctor visit despite arriving within the stated policy guidelines of 15 minutes of scheduled appointment time. Presumably by the physician's nurse due to being "over halfway point of grace period ". What in the world are you talking about? Grace period is 15 minutes, so they arbitrarily decline it despite conforming to the policy? We made a serious attempt to appear on time, so despite adhering to guidelines, they couldn't be bothered to provide service, possibly because they didn't want to be bothered. Wouldn't be surprised if the "staff" just didn't want to be tasked with the requisite preparation associated with providing service of the physician. Despite taking risks in traffic in order to comply with...... Wow, that's so respectful of the patronage. Who do we thank for that? Well, Medicare provider thanks You Guys for not charging anything today. Hope we didn't incur any other hardships and/or personal risks. M Colvin

I visited Tryon Medical Partners for what was supposed to be a simple preventative annual checkup—just a routine blood test. I made it very clear multiple times, both when scheduling and during the visit, that I wanted only the standard annual exam covered by insurance. When scheduling, they told me the doctors were fully booked but a PA was available. I agreed, since it was just a basic annual checkup and nothing more. The PA was polite and professional, but despite all my clear instructions, I was later split-billed an additional $347 simply because they asked me a few extra questions. Their billing practices feel extremely misleading, and it comes across as a complete scam. I strongly recommend avoiding Tryon Medical Partners for annual checkups unless you want to risk unexpected charges.

Tryon Medical Partners - Ballantyne located at 16817 Marvin Rd, Charlotte, NC 28277 is an outstanding facility. Great Doctors!!!! Very impressed with their manner, knowledge, very friendly and also realistic. They will get you to where you need to be. Thanks Dr Ligler and Dr Miller for being outstanding in every way.

I have been leaving messages for a month to schedule my colonoscopy and endoscopy. They keep sending me texts and I keep calling with availability on many days over the next three months. They have not called me back. My primary doctor sent a message. Nothing. This office is not good at all. I'm very dissatisfied. Very poor service. You can't get a human.

Update: Still stand by Dr Rahman being a good doctor, but the billing and operations side of this facility is a borderline scam. They sent a separate bill after I paid for my appointment in full. Upon inquiry I was told it was a mistake and they would remove it as it had already gone to collections! Didn’t receive confirmation, followed up to then be told that because I said I was tired during my physical appointment, to talk about my physical health, I was charged an additional $115 as per the "policy". There is nothing they will do. Didn’t know each key word had a price tag. Maybe it should be displayed menu style in each docs office. I’ll be sure not to discuss my physical health at the next physical appointment since that’s extra apparently, which won’t be at Tryon Med anyways. Something similar also happened to my dad with his billing but they fixed the issue. I wonder how many people they tried to charge extra that didn’t catch it and just paid anyways. BE AWARE!! Highly recommend Dr. Rahman! He is attentive, listens to details, and is able to come up with solutions quickly. Very helpful and knowledgeable! Will definitely be transferring to him as my PCP!

I arrived on time for more yearly physical with Dr Maureen Rafferty, who I've seen for 20 years! I waited in line to check in and checked in which took 6 minutes and the receptionist called Dr Rafferty, after waiting 4 minutes to get through to her and she refused to see me!! Was told I had to reschedule! I drove an hour to get to office and Was there on time! It was not my fault that I waited in line and it took another 6 minutes to check me in. I was still only 8 min later. I will never return to this Dr or to Tryon medical. Unacceptable that they were not accountable for the delays with checking me in. Very rude and dismissive for a long term patient and I'm a physician assistant and understand timing of appointments, but I was there on time! I immediately called and left detailed message to the office manager and have yet to get call back. ! I will take my health care needs to a better company who cares for their patients with respect.

Dr. James is wonderful! She is caring, compassionate, never rushes and explains everything you need to know. Whenever I have messaged her she is very prompt at responding. Her staff is equally as wonderful. They are a joy just to talk to. This is the first time I can say I do not dread going to the doctor. I have also seen another doctor at Tryon Medical Partners, Dr. Diane George, who is just as caring and compassionate. I feel blessed to have become a patient here and very well cared for.
