I never write reviews but Dr. Savas and Kayla were so amazing that I feel like I need to leave a review. I have a severe needle phobia so when I went in for Mohs surgery on my face, I was extremely nervous. Both Dr. Savas and Kayla were so kind and patient and made me feel very much at ease from the minute they walked in. Kayla made sure everything was extra numb so the entire procedure was painless. It was much quicker than I anticipated and overall was such a positive experience. Hopefully I’ll never need another Mohs surgery but if I do, I won’t even consider going to anyone else.

I don’t usually write reviews, but patients should be warned: Dermatologic Surgery of the Carolinas puts office convenience and corporate policy above patient health. I booked Mohs surgery for skin cancer on my face more than three months ago. The day before the appointment, they cancelled it, citing a policy that patients must confirm by 3pm or lose their spot. They said they’d tried calling, but like many people I don’t answer unknown numbers—and I had no reason to think my appointment wasn’t already confirmed. When I called back at 4pm, I was told my spot had already been given away and the next available date was four months out. This is cancer, not a routine check-up. Delaying treatment for months because of a rigid and illogical rule is reckless and dangerous. This policy is the opposite of patient care. In my case, it has created unnecessary risk for no reason beyond office convenience. I strongly recommend seeking care from a practice that treats cancer with the seriousness it demands.

Dr Clark, his assistant Tiffany and everyone at this office are amazing. I had Mohs Surgery yesterday and I can't say enough positive things about Dr Clark. From his knowledge to his bed side manner, he is absolutely the Dr to go see. I was in pain last night and I was able to talk to him and he gave me suggestions. Cancer in itself is scary but they completely put your mind at ease. I hope to never have to see them again in a professional manner but if I do, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you Dr Clark and Tiffany for taking such great care of me.

Dr Clark did my third WLE in a year. The first surgery left lots of scarring so I decided to change surgeons because this one was on my face. He had the most gentle hands and caring bedside manner along with his fiery funny and wonderful nurse. I pray I never have to have another one but if I do I will definitely be coming back to him. Please see the picture attached the first picture was 2 days post-surgery, the second picture was one week post surgery and the third picture was taken last night with a few days less than a month of the surgery and it's healing beautifully. Highly recommend this practice.

Dr Clark is professional, he did a procedure on my scalp and I felt no pain and my recovery was quick. Dr. Clarks billing staff are terrible. I had to pay for the procedure ahead of time which I did. After my insurance paid their part I found I was over charged by $140.00. When I contacted the billing department, they knew I had over paid and by how much. They said they would make the refund, "It would take a few minutes". I knew that meant a week or two. I called back 3 weeks later and had to leave a message. My feeling is if I did not catch the error the practice would have not contacted me about an overpayment. I am extremely disappointed I left my first message with the billing department on January 28th and was called back on January 29th. I followed up on February 17th due to no refund received. I received no call back. I called and left a message again for the billing department to call me on February 20th. As you can guess, I did not receive a callback or refund. I called again on February 25th and hit prompt 3 for appointment rescheduling, someone answered right away. I explained the problem, that person contacted billing and then said she would transfer me to them and I got the same message, "Please Leave A Message And We Will Call You Back". Not great customer service!!

Dr. Lane removed a dime sized cancer from my right hand and had to sew many stitches to close the wound. The man is a master surgeon. In 2 months time the wound has healed completely and I have no scar! It’s amazing to me but if I didn’t know where the surgery was I wouldn’t be able to see it. When I hold my hand out to show people they can’t see where the cancer was on my hand. I have to point it out then hold my hand in cross lighting before they can find it. Amazing skill and the staff are equally amazing people. I highly recommend!!

Dr Lane is an excellent surgeon. I have had several skin cancers that had to be removed. He was well versed and proficient with the procedure. He is thorough, meticulous and compassionate. I have no scars at all from any of the procedures! My daughter had to have one removed right below her eye. You can not see a scar at all ! I also see him for botox and I love the results. He has a wonderful calming presence in a bit of a unnerving situation. I would recommend him highly.
