Darst Dermatology

I've been seeing Dr Darst himself since 2014. He quickly diagnosed and removed a malignant melanoma on my first appointment. Since then I've seen him 2-4 times a year and he treated me for a second melanoma. He referred me to two different leading oncologists who he works closely with. His staff are polite, respectful and efficient. He regularly brings in trainees (with my permission) and loves to teach. I now take my daughter there and she sees Bill and Sabrina - both are excellent too!

I recently felt a need to change dermatologist. My first visit with Darst Dermatology was pleasant so I decided to get my yearly exam at my 2nd appt. I am happy to say both experiences have been great. Everyone that I've encountered from the ladies at the front desk to those assisting the doctor were kind, efficient and welcoming. The reason I'm so happy though is William O'Connor . I'm 68 and want to be proactive and catch problems early while they are treatable. He was so kind. He didn't hurry the exam and treated me like my questions were important. I truly feel heard and I am so glad I changed.

Front desk wouldn’t call my insurance to speed up the process of getting my prescription authorized, even though that is what my insurance suggested, since I only have a short window to pick up accutane. They just needed my provider to call, not me. I was told by the front desk receptionist to check the out of pocket price and if its affordable to maybe go that route(which was helpful). But when I called back and told her it was $92 she scoffed at me and asked "You can’t pay that?" And proceeded to say they will not call my insurance, if they want to approve it or not that’s on them and the most she can do is give me a call when/if it’s approved. It would have taken 10 minutes of her day to call and get this approved. Felt very dismissive which is a shame because my dermatologist is wonderful and I’ve had a great experience until this.

Everyone at Darst Dermatology is so nice, and I totally trust Dr. Darst. I started going for annual skin checks, and now I also take advantage of their great skin care specials. My husband also switched dermatologists to go here. I recommend this dermatology practice to everyone.

Love Dr Darst. He is a great Dr and a very nice person. Totally trust him. Highly recommend him. I'd give him 10 stars if I could.

I visited Dart Dermatology because I was experiencing a rash on my scalp. My personal research told me it was a form of Eczema, but since I'm no expert and rarely rely on an internet diagnosis, so I saw a professional. They diagnosed me with a yeast infection. I questioned it pretty thoroughly because aside from the itching, it didn't make sense. They insisted it was and prescribed a topical ointment & a shampoo (to the tune of $200 a pop!). After a few weeks of using the products, I called them to ask if I may need something different since it wasn't working. I was told to use more of it more frequently. That still did nothing. I then went back to my original Dermatologist (from a previous practice) who instantly diagnosed it as a form of Eczema known to be common men 50+ and prescribed a $30 shampoo and within 3 days, all was well. This practice also demands payment that day and doesn't bill you afterwards based on what the insurance actually covers. They estimate it and you either pay that amount or more if needed and if you overpaid, they send you the difference at a much later date. The staff was very courteous and the facility was clean (although outdated).

I’m so glad I found a private practice! I called this place on two occasions they got me in the next day both times!! I’ve never had to wait long and I’m in and out quickly. Recently was treated and was super pleased with my visit/outcome. Dr. Darst and his student were kind and friendly as ever!
