Heights Dermatology

This was my first time at the dermatologist and the experience was great. My daughter brought me to the appointment and we had 2 of my grandkids. They let all of them come in the room with me and watch the biopsy on my leg along with some other procedures. The Staff were wonderful from starting at the front desk and ending at the front desk. We did not meet anyone that did not say hello or greet us in a professional and upbeat way throughout the entire building. I went to the Fanin Street location. I will highly recommend to my friends and family.

During the phone call, I was told the appointment fee would be $125. On my visit, the fee was changed to $150 without prior notice.

The staffs were great. I can see that they know what they’re doing. Love the front desk staff especially. I just don’t feel 100% of the service was given to me during the visit. I shouldn’t be leaving the room with more questions in my head, but I ended up getting confused afterwards. When people are in pain or have some discomforts, I don’t think we can absorb all information that was given to us. I was provided with a paper for my plan treatment and no-one walked me through with what’s in the paper. My visit felt like it was in a rush. Did I think it was done on purposed? Nope, I can see that everybody was busy, but I just hoped that at the end of the session, someone should clarify what’s in the plan treatment. Everyone was nice though.

Not the first time I’ve ever gone to dermatologists but this office in particular made that experience one that would entice me to go back and cause me to write this review. I believe they have opened an office in downtown but I went to the Fannin office. The staff was friendly and very attentive with documentation and insurance. The attending answered all my questions regarding my issues and prescribed me some items that have helped greatly with the condition. I highly recommend this location.

Do you enjoy waiting an extra long time in the waiting room? I highly recommend bringing a lunch. I left a message because my pharmacy never received the antibiotics I was prescribed, it took 2-3 business days for them to return my phone call. No worries, I'm fine... I asked for a note to get a dark tint on my NEW CAR (without any tint), because of my history. I was reassured I'd have that note, by the end of the day via email, by the nice gentleman that answered the phone. I never received that note. Instead I received a phone call, a few days later from maybe the office manager (?), stating there are plenty of things on the market now that I could use instead: sunscreen, hats, vehicles already come with tinted windows (that's false by the way). I was appalled! She rushed me off the phone and said I can speak to the doctor during my SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT, four months from now. I have had a diagnosed medical condition for more than 30 years! And a family history! Did I mention I was appalled? I was transferred to this institution after my dermatologist of 20 years moved away. My health is not their top priority!

Dr. O is amazing. She listens to all your concerns and addresses them. Although it’s a very busy office, I will still come to see her because I feel she’s worth it. Moving to Texas was hard enough with all the changes, but I completely trust her and feel like she’s my new BFF.

Dr O is knowledgeable, professional and answers all questions. The office staff is awesome and easy to deal with. The nurses not so much. I’ve been in several times over the last year and the doctor has had to correct them several times. Makes me feel uneasy.
