Gilmore William A MD

Right now Dr. Gilmore is on vacation but his nursing team are supposed to be available. I call Dr. Gilmore's direct office phone only to find out it's not a working number. I'm confused. Dr. Gilmore and his team are awesome but I don't know another phone number to touch base and find out what time will be available in the office for a UVR Treatment Appointment.

A wonderful dermatologist who is knowledgeable, professional, with a good bedside manner. As a matter of fact, I prefer him over the dermatologist I was seeing at MD Anderson. His staff is friendly and very professional. I rarely leave reviews, however, when you find a good Doctor as Dr. Gilmore, we should spread the word!

Fantastic doctor!!! He deserves 10 stars!!! Dr. Gilmore has such a great bedside manner and very knowledgeable in his field. He took his time with me and answered every question I had. He is the only dermatologist I will use!!

After going to several dermatologists in the area- over a span of 2 years with no luck diagnosing or even helping my husbands hand condition- a friend suggested to go to Dr Gilmore. We had even had a biopsy done at Morels office and it came back no sign of fungal issues. When we saw Gilmore- he did a scraping and went and looked at it under a microscope and said he believes he sees evidence of a fungal issue. He then did a culture (which no one else had done) and we are going back today for the results. He advised an over the counter cream to use and it has actually improved my husbands hand- which as so bad he could hardly use it. I would recommend Dr Gilmore. He’s attentive and knowledgeable. Even when I had presented my own research and possible diagnosis for my husbands hand he said I had done a good job and that I was correct that it appeared as the condition I suggested. But that not all the signs of that condition were present and we were going to check the fungal issue first - because the condition I suggest could be lifelong. I was impressed by this also because usually doctors are like "oh ok we have another silly self diagnosed through the internet". Rather he was impressed with my efforts and told me I had done a good job. AND it seems he’s on the right track with my husband. Office staff was wonderful as well. One of the ladies had been working for him for over 40 years.

Wish I could rate the Dr but unfortunately the woman that answered the phone was extremely unprofessional and even rude. I was referred here by another specialist that noticed a mole/wart on my neck and said to get it checked out by Dr. Gilmore. The woman that answered asked what kind of insurance I had them promptly informed me it would be the end of October if I could get in then when I asked if they do removal she was short with me, "yeah but your insurance won't pay for it." Then when I told her I had one dermatologist tell me it was a wart she said, "it's probably a skin tag, you should cut it off with cuticle scissors." Wow! So I asked if she was telling me not to come to their office, she said, " it's up to you." So I said, "ok thank you." And hung up. Hope she is qualified to give medical advice because that's what she did. Think I'll probably keep looking for a different Dr. My advice, hire a new receptionist!!
