Dr. Hugh D. Dorris Jr, MD

I have been going to Duncan Dorris, MD, for over 20 years and he is awesome. Anytime I've needed him to look at any suspicious spot, his office has made time for me right away. He fixed my wife's persistent skin rash quickly when other docs were baffled. I love this practice. He's a very capable physician but is also very concerned and caring--super nice guy. I've had nothing but great experiences with everyone in practice. Can't say enough good things.

Dr Dorris is one of the best physicians I know. He always provides straight forward, experienced, and professional care. He can evaluate skin issues quickly and has obviously seen a lot in his career. I very highly recommend him to my family and friends.

Dr. Dorris is the BEST Dermatologist I have ever met. I lived in Ca. for thirty-four years were my skin was damaged beyond belief because I was a surfer and enjoyed the outdoors but never used sun screen. For several years now, after moving to Asheville, Dr. Dorris has removed several basal cell cancers on my face. You cannot even see the scars because he is a master at this. He has also given me several blue light treatments which has definitely improved the texture of my skin. He recently diagnosed a couple of mysterious spots on my arms. After asking a few questions about the symptoms he thought maybe a spider bit. After more discussion I told him I had an ailing cat where his hair was falling out and showed him close up pictures. He immediately said he wanted to do a "skin scrap". After analyzing the sample under the microscope he said I had a fungal infection like my cat and gave me a Rx which cleared it up. My veterinarian had not been able to diagnose my cat until I told him what Dr. Dorris had said. He did a special test on my cat confirming Dr. Dorris’s diagnosis and has him on anti-fungal medication. Mystery solved, thank you Dr. Dorris. I have seen MANY dermatologist and Dr. Dorris is the best by far.

Dr. Dorris is a sweet man with a sense of humor. I can’t imagine going to any other dermatologist but, Dr. Dorris.

Nice, concerned and caring one visit, Cold the next. I am sure he will be happy to get rid of me. He obviously was not interested in helping me. Fortunately, there are many Dermatologists in Asheville NC.
